First of all, great work, it’s awesome to see you guys problem solving to create the best board possible. Second from the looks of it I would guess diy VESC builders might want to get their hands on these enclosures for custom pack builds, my question is, what are the dimensions/volume of the battery and controller enclosures, and how do they compare to XR and/or GT enclosures. Could the ADV parts be better to work with and supplant the XR parts as the standard for DIY builds? Keep up the great work!

they posted the 3d file for the floatwheel a while ago, and yes it is quite a bit bigger than the xr boxes especially in the controller box

It also would be cool not to push out the plastic when changing colors, but just put in the next color. You could sell the parts with transitioning colors, maybe with marble pattern. Those would all be custom.

Would a Solidworks mold simulation correctly predict or replicate these real world case?

we did moldflow analysis, it predicts the mold flow and meeting line very accurately, but deform is the most complicated and experience oriented problem to solve and currently there is no software to simulate this.

Would you design it in a way that it supports add-ons, such as the Fangs that attached to the OneWheel. It would be nice to have bolt on locations or something. People like to customize things and really respect manufacturers who allow that and do things to make that easier.

The interesting aspect will be the warping on different colours, since different dyes change the properties of the plastics ever so slightly, so I'm hoping that, whichever colour ends up being used (I'm boring and would want black, or gun-metal, lol), we'd hope that the mechanical changes made to the machinery continue to solve the issue, as opposed to the specific plastic and its colour. It's like with 3D printer filaments, in a given type of plastic, the white version of said plastic tends to be the most brittle and is more difficult to print, on average.

Gives up too fast. If the dosing takes as long as the product's cooling time, it will be more even or you delay before dosing. In this way, the material does not stay in the cylinder for an unnecessarily long time. Like when you want to heat the water in the bathtub at home.
