Battery Light on but Alternator is Charging: Common Causes

On my 2017 Murano, the charging voltage varies where when teh battery is almost full the voltage drops a little to like you said 13.5. The drain current is 47mA and varies as well, never over 50mA. It has a new battery and wife says she sees the battery light here and there but not on the interstate. No error codes on my Launch 431. I'll check the battery current sensor and ripple.

I have been a ASE mechanic for over 40 years. I got a remanufactured alternator. Charged 13.8. An alternator will charge with a min of 13.5. When the light comes on with the system charging ,most of the time it is a failure of the Diode trio.

My Chevrolet Beat has some smoke issue inlast 2 3 days. Smoke doesn't come out when startup but after warm up, it comes out, not heavy but it's clearly visible. And water also comes out too. Waht issue this might be.

My problem seems to be they were working on top of my motor last week and now every time I move the wire on the alternator the light goes on and off. I had to scream at the guy over and over to get out of my motor even threatened to call the police finally another guy came and got him out from under my hood because I didn't like him laying on top of my radiator and then when I went to leave the light turned on so they taped it so every few miles I have to retake it😢😢

I've had to jump my diesel f350 when it's cold out like 40 degrees, both batteries are new and check out fine. Gauge says I have 14.3 volts while running. Now battery lights on, charged and tested both batteries are good. Won't turn over engine. I'm at a lost the alt is one year old auto zone brand which I replaced when the battery light came on last year. I'm hoping it's just this alt but it's a bitch to replace it and find out it's not the problem. This is a 6.4 liter engine.
