I bought a Philips Sonicare Diamond toothbrush seven years ago to have it as a reserve. Now I tried to use it, the battery is empty and cannot be recharged. I bought a replacement battery, and managed. to disassemble the toothbrush as instructed by you (thank you). Please let me know if I could send it to you for replacement, of course for a fee. Hello my friend, the Model 5611 ( Series 5) were built slightly different than others, the battery can't be replacement, once the handle is disasemled, its hard to put it back together. You could try ebay to get a new 5 series handle at very low cost, around 12USD.

Which Temperature do I need? And how long is the contact necessary for melting the metal?

350 to 380 Celsius degrees depends on the weather (minimal 350, and max 380 when its cold), and once heated up, melting within 2- seconds.
