You are doing an amazing job with those range videos!

I think having a non linear Soc % is crazy for a product trying to take us into the EV mainstream. Its okay for early adopter's to know that if you do a journey 100- 52% that you won't make the return trip necessarily on the 52% remaining charge. But the masses need something simpler.

I'm guessing it's linear with amp-hours instead of kwh.

@@Lewis_Standing When you're at a higher charge (higher voltage), each amp hour will give you more energy than when you're at a lower state of charge (lower voltage). Power = voltage x current, so when the voltage is lower, you get less power for the same current.

Really appreciate this. Would like to see a true winter test at -30c with no preheating. Let it freeze overnight like the real world forces us to.

I wish someone in the coldest climates like Norway or Iceland would do the how long will the Ioniq 6 RWD battery holds while it sits in an open parking lot for a month like Bjorn did with a Tesla model S a few years ago .

Hi, you 'd better have checked if battery conditioning was On in the instrument cluster. That's weird that you did not had it activated. It never happens in my EV6.

I don't know what version of software this vehicle is using, but the parameters that go into the equation of whether the system turns on are: battery temperature, SoC, distance to charger. Maybe it was in some low SoC or just a few minutes from the charger.

That "max 240 km/h" sticker for the winter tires makes a lot of sense on that car 😄

The fast highway efficiency of the Ioniq 6 is DISAPOINTING. It has one of the most aero designs on the market yet at speeds faster than 100-110 km/hr it is LESS efficient than the German cars. If you look at speed and efficiency comparisons you will see that the I6 has much better efficiency than the Germans at speeds up to 90 km/hr. (See the excellent Arena Mag efficiency and range comparisons) At higher speeds the German cars' efficiency decreases at a much SLOWER rate than the I6. It has to be because of drivetrain/motor tuning. Asian roads are slooooow.

249 wh/km is not bad at -10 to -4°C. Drag is worse at those temp, and about 4 kwh spent for climate is a lot. Even if it means only 16 km lost.

@@moa2252 Understood, but if you look at the ArenaEV testing of EV's at different speeds you will see that the EFFICIENCY of the Ioniq 6 decreases MUCH FASTER than the German cars at high speeds. That's my point.

After spending whole weekend with Tesla model 3 highland I understand why you didn't chose heat pump it is annoying buzzing sound that prevents me to enjoy music as much as on my old Tesla

Would also love to see the test when you would not preheat the battery at home. Imagine you are living in the city, where you can not charge nowhere and you have to travel somewhere. Say you have 80 % of charge in the morning, -5 celsius and you travel somewhere and also let the car preheat itself before charging, arent you planning such test? :)

13:23 This makes no sense to pay 75 ct if Ionity itself is 69 ct in Germany. 😅

So worse than ID.7? That was unexpected. This is a smaller car, it has heat pump and temp. was higher

Pretty high consumption. Disappointing. My 38kwh Ioniq has 18kwh/100km on highway speed during winter.

Hi to be fir: depends on what you consider "highwy speed". No way your Ioniq does 130kmh at 180Wh/km in winter. Literally impossible. Even my enormously efficient Tesla cannot do that, realistic is 210-220 Wh/km at -5 to -10

Hello Constantin I was actually thinking of just the Ioniq 38 when I watched this video and wondered what the range on that was in winter (also in summer if you'd like to share) at around 120 kmh I and determined to get a 38 as my next car and I have seen so many posts and videos of people getting more than the WLTP and considering 286 km is of cause longer than the 38 but how much further actually? :)
