Thanks for sharing your experience with a road trip in the e-Up. At 11:17 read world charging at only 20kW is painfully slow. If the next generation of battery pack will charge at 50kW up to 80% that will be a big improvement.

Very nice car for city traffic and (short) stretches on the highway. The only downside for me is the support of the front seats. Standard camping chairs offer more comfort than these "boards with raised edges". But it drives really good, even in eco-mode.

I wish you would have showed inside the dounut shop. It would have been a sweet cultural treat after all that work. I like you commenting. You cou actually do a European travel show when you get your id3. Travel all over Europe dealing with electric infrastructure hype. The we also get food and culture.

Many thank for your videos, great job and detailed information. I do have 1 question: what is your winter consumption for short distances ? 0 degree outside, clima off, heater at 20 degrees ? I’m traveling short distances 10-15 km and my average consumption is 20 to 25 kW / 100. Do you think is normal or should I visit the VW service ? Thank you !

@@BatteryLife thank you for your answer. Maybe you can do a video or answer in some weeks when you will have more detail. For me, if I charge my car to 80%, I cannot exceed 70 km in the city, which is not nice for a car with 36 kw battery ... I’m trying to compare with others users, to decide if I should address to VW service.. Stay safe !

The driver is waisting a lot of energy by maintaining +23 degrees inside. +20 are more than enough. By the way +22 is the default, too high for me, I would prefer to have it set to 18.The car is fine, but after couple of years mine experienced few glitches. I cannot trust estimated distance any more, below 100km estimated it may drop instantly by some 50-60km down. In addition the charging unit inside the car began to show some bugs. Occasionally it refused to provide charge from a home AC power socket. Though, it still worked on a public chargfing station. Sometimes, but not always it started to work from home socket again after I had tried to use public CSS charger. Unfortunately, it appeared again after a while. Diagnostics done at a VW dealer service did not identify any errors, so the issue continued to pop up time to time again. Sometimes it simply started to work again after a certain time. Finally, this year I took my car to the dealer again and this time they confirmed the issue. Installation of a new charging unit is gonna cost me a 1000 euros at a discount. Otherwise I am more than happy with my e-UP.

@ph40304 жыл бұрын
@eup98564 жыл бұрын
