don't worry about the trap snapping you. those foot hold style traps don't snap hard enough to really hurt you that way when it closes it doesn't actually hurt the animal it just holds them in place. it might sting a little bit at first but that's it.

I'm sure the pocketshot counts as an assault weapons outside the US. HAH, I'm from California, it feels good to mock those with more oppressive laws! I'm just kidding of course.

Nice Box! Thanks for the video. I agree with you on the books. I have several fishing, hunting and trapping books that I reference frequently. It's the smart thing to do.

There was allot of good stuff in there. I especially liked the double spring muskrat trap. To set it just push down on both springs keeping your fingers out of the jaws. The trigger plate should pop up and the trap is set when the jaws fall open. At which point just like with a mouse or rat trap gently release the springs. Remember to keep your fingers out of the jaws or you wont have a finger. Not to sure about the fishing card. Looks a bit flimsy to me. I guess it would be all rite with pan fish like bluegill and crappie.

That buck knife is like our old timer knife that me and my dad use for skinning deer
@RazorBladeAppleFilms8 жыл бұрын
My dad has one of those razor edge knives and despite not being pretty, he has used it to skin 3 deer in a row without having to swap the blades. So for hunters who are very practical, it's a great knife.

We called them gin traps, for possums, illegal in New Zealand for about 20 years now. love the battle boxes. I've been looking up past review, and wish i could get some, but the price of shipping would be prohibitive, having said that most of the products i have seen are 2 to 3 times the recommended retail price over here, if you can get them. ( Knife Laws ). Thanks for you'r reviews. I know it's a dirty but someones got to do it.

Jeff, I would really like your opinion on the Buck Nobleman TI. I love the design but i had one break on me during some (very) light cutting (The springy part of the frame-lock), and it collapsed on my fingers. I got a replacement but still a bit scared it could happen again. Also greetings from The Netherlands.

hey jeff, have you ever thought about pocket carrying small fixed blades in a pocket sheath??? would you be so kind as to make a video on it, even if its just your thoughts. seen a couple of ideas on the forums wondering whether or not to pull the trigger.

Jeff, the pocket shot would probably be illegal in Australia. Two of the largest states anyway.
@wiigamer2298 жыл бұрын
Hey I don't comment often so I hope this doesn't get lost but make sure you check your state laws in regards too that trap. Notice how it closes all the way? That's illegal in some areas, not to mention those have lower catch rates

Great vid, as always. Cool wallet tool kits; I'm all about the lock picking! Would be interested to review that set; might be cool for standard padlocks (think Master locks) but prob limited otherwise. That's actually a very small trap. You can't break a bone with it, either. Snap it on you thumb, and you'll be just fine. Nor is it old style. If it were, it would have long springs, rather than coil springs.

good on you Jeff to give disclosure
@cutlerylover8 жыл бұрын
+mark rossi I have never lied on camera and never will, its just that sometimes people assume things that are not true so im trying to be more conscious of mentioning stuff like that, Ive said it a lot though over the years Im a broke mofo most of the time and the vast majority of reviews are on items sent by the company or things I traded for, I rarely can afford to buy a fun new toy...and I never get to keep anything it gets passed on in rotation to make room for new stuff to try...
@mark335458 жыл бұрын
+cutlerylover I never implied or said you lied but I am one of the people who have encouraged you and other gear channels to give full disclosure on things being featured and/or reviewed, similiar to what has started to happen with the gaming community on youtube. I just wanted to acknowledge that your disclosure didnt go unnoticed and is appreciated. It's a muddy situation on youtube currently regarding the relationship between companies and youtubers, and while I go in to every video I watch on youtube these days thinking that the product was given for free for the review and the video could have sponsorship involved, many people do not and they just think they are watching a video of some guy or girl who has the same hobby or interest as them who went out and bought the product and take their review as such. When it comes to you, the fact you didnt buy the product means nothing to me as I trust your integrity, you telling me that this battlebox was sent to you for free makes me take nothing less from the video on the contrary it made me give a thumbs up to a video I normally would give a thumbs down to (no offense, I just think these battlbox's are a rip off). The more people like you give disclosure, the more people will realize when channels arent giving disclosure and people can start to realize what is really going on with all the reviews they see on youtube.
