Battle of Blakeley Reenactment

I was honored to be asked to shoot drone and fixed position footage of The Battle of Fort Blakeley Reenactment on April 6, 2019.... just three days shy of the 154th anniversary of the final charge. Special thanks to Sherry Frost for letting me use some of the photos she shot during the event.

just ran across this video ... have been doing Civil War living history since 1964 when I was a drummer boy ... 73 now ... I must say the pictures of the camp sites were outstanding , you just do not see that detailed authenticity much these days ... the pic of the Confederate company took my breath away ... the impressions were outstanding , it is hard to find men who will down that hard road to really look perfect ... everything about that living history event was FIVE STAR AAA+++ ... I am from Milwaukee , WI my units were the 41st Virginia and the 8th Wisconsin ... my hat is off to you all ... take care and be well , Michael

Great video! And its real nice to see that they have done a lot restoration work to the redoubt The last time I was at Blakeley was in 2007 with my college ROTC unit doing training at the park.
