Mark Levinson system is one the best sounding stereos in a car today. You just don't have the sound adjusted correctly. It doesn't just sound "alright."

At this point I’ve had all three generations of the IS (minus third gen refresh) the engines are the same (hence tested reliability) but I must say the 2IS has always been my favorite definitely more bang for buck and the sound system is indeed better.

Yeah the paddles on the is 350 aren't gear selectors unfortunately, just gear limiters, really hard to blip on them since the programming is a bit weird lol. The is F and is 500 (in manual mode) do actual change gears.

They are. I have found every in n out quirk of the paddles. You can rev matvh by yourself, but you have to get used to the timing for flawless gear changes. Step 1: You must be ready to downshift with the "-" paddle. Press the down paddle Step 2: immediatepy after blip the gas(will vary depending on speed and gear choice) Step 3: listen to the car to get used to how it sounds when you do. You will feel the car slip and flawlessly match the prev gear. Mine had a muffler delete, so it was easier to do in mine since after i got used to the timing i just relied on sound, just like my motorcycle. Counless amount of people thought i had a manual is250, when it was in fact an auto. Ive done the exact same thing on like 3 different 3is is350s lol.

The newer IS is a downgrade in a lot of ways compared to the 06-13 IS. They went from a 13 speaker standard stereo to a 10 speaker standard stereo in the newest generation in exchange for my driver personalization. Driving city the new model has an amazing feeling drivers seat and a better suspension.

Nahhhh, puddle lights and headlight washers are not a difference maker imo... You also shouldn't ever have to fish for your keys, since the doors automatically unlock when you get near them if the key is on you. The headlight washers are a useless feature both functionally and aesthetically if we're keeping it 100! Definitely need the F-Sport models on these.
