I have both rf97 and the pd 98. What you say is right. Less feel with the pd 98 but much more power. I like the pd98 to redirect the ball. Direction control is good. Pd98 not easy to play, not forgiving like the pd100. This is quite different.

They are definitely more "raw" and slightly less comfortable, and the Ezone is a much "easier" racket to use in general.

I am using both Pure Aero 98 and Pure Drive 98, but I really like the control power of Pure Drive, so I am using it well. Pure Aero 98's ball power drops too much when a miss occurs. Pure Drive 98 fills in this part.

Pure drive stiffness will destory your arm in miss hits. Ill be demoing the pure aero with the lower Stiffnees to see how big a difference is. The PD 98 will get it over on miss hits but is it worth the pain.

I've expensinced soreness from the weight, but never pain in the arm int'l the PD98 which is my current racket. It made we rethink of I should even use a 98. Still love it on my serve tho. I was thinking of trying the 98Aero, but probably the same results, but I'll try.

Is there a racquet that has all the control and precision like the gravity and prestige but offers an easy swing.. I bought a head gravity pro 2023 but I feel it's swing weight is not right for me. I feel it is very difficult for me to pronate with it on serves and it lacks maneuverability for me. I need to switch to something that will offer control as I am a hard hitter but I need an easy swing.

Interesting video I'm teetering to the Pure Drive. It doesn't bother this shoulder and I feel like a Silverback with that banana racquet. How does Pure Drive compare to Yonex Core 98 D? That's my favourite Sniper Racquet my Wilson Blade if you* will. Can't say I'm gone on that Precept though too much mushy mesh is what I'm hearing. The Pure Aero 98 was blazing Controlled power last year loved that part but at the net was a lot less than inspiring at the net. Kryptonite for a doubles player Yikes! Unless that improved sorry there are better just saying... 👋

You were afraid of comparing the PD98 to a modern Pro Staff, and look 6 months later Federer releases the RF 01 which is actually pretty similar in many ways to the PD98, wouldn't you say? Or at least if we assume it comes from a PS97, definitely it has at least taken a little turn or step towards a Pure Drive.

I used a Pure Drive for almost a year. I tried a friends Pure Aero and instantly fell in love. Within a few months I started noticing my elbow was getting sore. Continued to slowly get worse. I switched to the new Yonex Percept. It is by far my favorite so far. Loads of control.

@@horaciolloret2006 I switched to the Percept 97. It is a low power very control oriented racquet. It’s definitely not for everyone. Many people at my tennis club did not like it when they tried mine. I love it. I also did like the Aero, it was just too stiff for me.

Pure drive 98 really an awful racket. You're less likely to get tennis elbow if you play with a frying pan strung with barbed wire. I highly suggest to demo FX 500 tour and Ezone 98 instead of this
