Wow! Knew you were around on the Battlebots online scene but I appreciate the comment Paul! Congrats on the amazing run with Biteforce so far. I was curious, would you or your team ever consider building a robot in a different weight class, if the modern Battlebots brought back Lightweight, Middleweights, or "Super"heavyweights to the show?

Dooley Noted thanks! And sure, I have built 12lb, 60lb, 120lb, 220lb, and 250lb. We will always be interested in whichever is the most competitive and exciting, which essentially is 220 or 250 nowadays

The sport has evolved so much. You got robot combat tv show's like north America's BattleBots and UK's robot wars. smaller show's like Robotica. the two former show's being inspired by the 1994-1997 American robot wars. and becoming in international sport with competition's in China India and more.

Thank you! If anyone can take down Biteforce it will be a legendary feat. It's such a well build bot that has low center of mass and durability to dish out hits. I actually think a bot like Hydra has the best chance to flip it on its back or out of the arena.

The way I see the sport evolving is in more of ingenuity rather then pure power a example of this is robots like Gabriel from robot wars double jeopardy, huge, hydra and chomp but I do think the old tech can compete against the newer robots a example of this is a robot called dead bod from the UK live scene has been using parts that are 7-8 years old but its been unkillable somehow even when it got ripped apart it was back up and running in a hour time and even managed to beat more morden machine with in the UK live scene such as s.t.ripper, iron awe 6, nibbler and a few more strong UK robots it's pretty incredible

You said “in 1999 robot wars” there was no robot wars in 99, Battlebots first event was in 99 in Long Beach. The Comedy Central season 1.0 was the 3rd Battlebots tournament (June 99 in Long Beach, November 99 in November. I have both videos of them on my page).

Thanks for the catch! That's right. I just realized the slip up. Vlad won that first championship in 99 in LB. That's why he was a 2 time champion by Season 2 on CC.
