On your comment about guns on planes; they only started regularly using mgs in 1917. Before that, most planes wouldn't shoot each other. In fact, there are lots of accounts where opposing pilots waved at each other. If guns were used, they would be sidearms.

Redstone Casey There are other planes but the German fighters took them out. They can survive though if you kill the German fighters and they can actually help you out a lot.

Why were you surprised at him taking pictures? WW1 Biplanes were primarily used in reconissance missions. Also, those blimps used Hydrogen. Only the Americans knew how to produce Helium (in large quantities). If we had shared that technology, we would probably still be using airships today.

Having played the campaign, I can say that the only loot you get form enemies are the weapons they drop. You can also loot better weapons out of crates sometimes.

I'd love to know how the main character got down to the ground WW1 pilots weren't issued parachutes until very late during the war. The top brass thought it might encourage pilots to escape fights if they had parachutes.

...seriously? a WW1 game seemingly with no canadians? canucks first encountered gas warfare, first to counter it as well and win the same battle, captured the legendarily impossible to take Vimy Ridge, had a legendary native sniper, and were the first allied forces to use storm trooper tactics, perfected creeping barrages, and the Canadian Corps is widely regarded as one of the most effective military units in the war, supposedly feared by the germans, we were also the first former colony to defeat an european power on european soil, i'm not saying Canada won the war, but to say we didn't do more than our numerical fair share is utterly insane. i mean it's bad enough no game has been made about the perfect WW2 record of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, one of the most successful military units ever, but now our ancestors sacrifices are completely ignored? sighhh fine, guess it's back to playing CoD 3

Despite being a bit of a cliche, Clyde is easily the best character in this game. I really wanted to hate this guy, but god damn it I couldn't. I don't know if it's the good ol' fashion All-American charisma or the Han Solo vibe he gives off, but despite his rather obvious ending that you can see coming through walls about a mile away, I really just couldn't hate one of the most despicable characters in any shooter I've ever played.
