Here, this is not a stressful situation, it is something that CAN'T happen. You can't be attacked by aliens, the door can't be forced that way. Let's go back to the door : The humans here knew the door can't be forced by force. So each times the door fails, their brain has problem to think : They keep watching because the next blow has to fail ... and it didn't. This is what made me love this movie. The aliens weren't just a race of violent sociopaths who wanted to invade earth simply because "we're evil," but living creatures that possess empathy and loyalty to one another who were simply part of an intergalactic imperialistic regime that earth was on the wrong end of. This added a shade of grey to the plot that made it much more engaging.

That's one of the reason i like this movie. The aliens can actually tell between good and evil living being. If they see something that not become a threat to them, they will not attack
@deathstrike2 жыл бұрын
Somehow the alien ones Harper and the others were intelligent. It didn't come off as them being part of a regime, but that another regime devastated their planet. They are simply trying to survive as well. They found Earth rich in resources and they felt perhaps they could assist in trying to rebuild their world. They don't come off an unnecessarily hostile or cruel. If we had been more advanced or unified, perhaps a dialogue could have been established. An "exchange" of resources, technology, and cooperation may have gone towards a possible alliance and benefitted both races.

Love how the aliens operate so casually here haha. When they board the destroyer to get their man back, they just bust in and extract. No unnecessary kills or damage, just get the dude and bounce. Probably could have taken out the whole crew out right then and there and disable the ship... but they didn’t. Just wanted their friend back. Then in the later scene, the alien just busts into the machine room, ignores the crew, and walks over to and scan the machinery like no one else is there haha. And when the crew starts firing at the alien, even though it knows the bullets have no effect on it, the alien first tries to disarm or incapacitate the person instead of going straight for the kill. Either these aliens have some kind of moral code of no merciless killing, or more likely they straight up just see zero threat in the human crew and their weapons so they straight up ignore them, kind of like a man swatting away flies as he’s trying to work haha

Aunque algo que me llama la atención es los aliens que no atacan al menos que tu ataques primero. Habrá algún motivo

what do you get when every character has thick plot armour and a highly advanced alien race that brings a knife to a gun fight, battleship

"I just heard something on level four." Level Four? You mean deck four or fourth deck. Possibly Oh four (04) if it's the fourth deck above the main deck, yeesh...

For a race of advanced aliens, their threat detection tech and measures they take suck. But then you can see in the visions they gave hopper that they killed entire worlds. It's like they just wont kill anyone because the ship would have less crew to operate it and wont advance the plot.

It was probably a miscommunication. The alien could have simply been telling the guy that they are at war on the verge of defeat and need earth for either a new home or resources.
