A Great Irish, Yes I agree, the paint application lets what would be an awesome ship down somewhat...a touch more attention in their quality control would make the difference! Still a great ship!!... I however did receive two XL EagleMoss Star Trek ships and they are excellent!... Cheers Mate!

I like this model. I'm amazed at the amount of die-cast used on this model, and how heavy it is. Was not expecting that. Fun thing to do is buy two of these, and re-work the second one into a tandem Y configuration seen in "The Plan".

Eaglemoss models are nice overall, but they get away with things like the flaws and high prices because they're the only game in town for most of these ships. Mattel's Star Wars ships are often roughly their equal for a fraction of the price. Having said that, I purchased both basestars to display with my collection of Hasbro Titanium series ships from both TOS and 2004 BSG. They're all about 2- 3 inches in length, quite detailed for their size(the 2004 Galactica has retractable pods!), and the scale difference between them and the basestars works beautifully together since basestars are supposed to be immense next to the other ships.

Hi Irish Trekkie, I prefer this new design over the old. Id paint over those paint apps windows. Youre channel is great and the other Irish Star Treky too

I always use the windows for a size reference, but doing that with this model just calls attention to its biggest flaw, other than that it looks pretty good

I loved the modern look of the Basestar . It looks elegant and is radically different from the classic . Still love the classic but the modern Basestar is quite special . Eaglemoss need to improve their quality , the price and finish is atrocious it's worth about 5 quid max for that .

on the orthographic page, they have marked the cylon raider quick launch bays as the missile launchers, well...someone hasn't watched the show...or paid attention. but model wise the mold is good but those windows are.... one thing i would add is some purple-magenta lighting on the inner hull area

To be fair, in the miniseries, the missiles just appeared from random points on the hull, including the Raider bays, before physical missile launchers were added to the model beginning in season 3.

Im curious to see the scale size in comparison to the ARES cylon raiders. This looks pretty cool and so far have both galactica ships
