Good fight! And I hate it when that happens and you lose a barrage of missiles to your own flak, I've done it a couple of times as well. Always frustrating. But fortunately, it has never been a fatal mistake yet, it's just a lost chance to do a little more damage is all. It can be made up for later with good maneuver, which you clearly handled well. Very aggressive tactics, well played. I do think you would have suffered less losses with a more conservative staggered formation held at distance for longer before breaking into the middle of the Cylon fleet, but your way worked well too.

@@starbuckr6970 I had to learn to check my fire with missiles. Who would have thought that they would account for friendly fire. Love the game. I should have bought it years ago.

This is why I always liked keeping a Ranger or two towards the back of my formations armed with nukes. As soon as my fighters get close enough for me to see the Basestars it's time to start sending the heavy ordinance. Plus whatever missiles my other ships are packing.

Battlestar Galactica Dreadlocks is probably the best spaceship strategy combat game Ive ever played. I used to love Battlefleet Gothic but this blows it out the water.

I just wish BSGO had stayed alive. Deadlock is the best spaceship strategy game and BSGO had all to be the best spaceship game

Something about Battlestars just makes them my favorite capital ships to watch in battle.
@jamesdleon68533 жыл бұрын
People keep on saying that the basestars cannot handle battlestars, but you have to approach them from the top or the bottom depending on which one your fighting, since it's where their fire control is most of the time. Or, you can approach them from the top with raiders, this may be more effective, especially If you are using wardrivers

I remember watching the original BSG when the Pegasus took on 3 Basestars by herself back in the late 70s. What a great battle. Shame the show lost it's way with the horrific BSG 1980.Now if only Galactica had some of those solonite missiles that Kane managed to have a large supply of LOL.
@mikevanroy93562 жыл бұрын
@@briankriens5645 They did. Adama used them in The Hand Of God which ended up being the last BSG before 1980.

Would have been cool to see one of the old basestars in the re-imagined series of Battlestar Galactica. Saw it in Blood and Chrome but would have been great in the series.

God watching the colonials work was beautiful to watch. It was like a pack of sharks herding up their prey and putting the bite down one by one. The music was perfect and is the cherry on the icing

The Basestar's are all show, an Artemis or Minerva can solo two by themselves, for a Jupiter it's child's play, now a group of Basestar's is another story. If your not smart enough you'll be up to your eyeballs in boarded Centurions.
@JeanLucCaptain2 жыл бұрын
Ya the single basestar is nothing more then a Mobile missile and launch plotform. It needs a support group.

Cant wait to play this. Bought it, but did not realize my laptop did not have a strong enough video card. . Have to get a new computer once life settles down. On a side geek dork note....anyone ever think, in all these scifi scenarios, how much dangerous debris is floating out there in space? I mean, it is dangerous here around Earth as it is, and we have barely reached this level of sophistication.
@DavidPennable2 жыл бұрын
One would imagine that such level of sophisticated technology could have a nuke proof hull, magnetic grappling and flight patterns for towing nets.
