Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

You should start doing battles with vehicles on the planets. I think it would be interesting because of the varying gravity.

I love how much of an equalizer the shields are for Yuzi for as often as he goes for form vs Scrapman's function

I think at least some of your problems came from spreading your quantum rudders at the tips of the wing pods: yes, by spreading them there was less chance of one burst taking them both out, and both wings *did* have redundant connections, but given the wings' fragility, there was a point in many of the rounds where your wings lost their tips and you defaulted to realistic space. Also, I suspect the issue you had hitting yzuei's cockpit was weapon dispersal: with the guns all spread out and on the wings, if you have him directly in your sights, in the centre of your fire pattern, the centre of his craft (with the cockpit) is mostly going to be missed. If you'd added those last two blasters to the nose rather than the wings, that might have worked out better (and been more symmetrical/not needed any rejigging of the others)

You should try designing a fighter that has adjustable spread, so you could chip away at an enemy from a distance, and once they lose their thrusters or control surfaces you can fly closer and fire more precise shots at the control seat.

A battle where the creations have semi exposed logic, the logic can either be random logic, or all the vehicles controls have to go through an exposed logic gate, as the game goes on, the battle and controls will get fun as controls slowly disappear.

I noticed during the shield melee from Yzeui that Scrapman took heavy damage almost like being sliced while Yzeui took almost none. I think the energy shield also absorbs collision damage. This in mind, new challenge! Shield only melee battle using the energy shield as weapons. I would love to see it and know if my theory about the shield is correct.

Would be interesting if in such fights, after fighting for a while, you get 5-10 minutes to fix your build (i.e. ship, in this video), like some sort of evolution without taking the build of the winner.

Orbital Bombardment/Planetary Defense. One person is on one of the planetoids or on the asteroid core with a cannon vehicle, the other is in a space vehicle with a cannon or bomb bay. It's basically an "aerial v ground battle" but going planetary vs satellite. I think with your tidal lock system, you could make some fancy system and the defender would be able to drive around forcing the "satellite" to move their orbit. Allow shields since they protect against some level of blast damage. Beyond that redo Tron, but with quantum rudders and rocket engines. You're still laying down concrete barriers, but you're just going fast and you have the quantum rudder as your drag and means of steering. You can also do more motorcycle revisits with the gyro like you said. Also, also you can try doing Space Mech battles. Mechs in space don't need to walk, so that isn't much of an issue. They just become super unbalanced as they lose appendages.

Not exactly a challenge idea, but a feature. Do you remember the famous "do a barrel roll" from starfox? How about a space ship that can perform that in a dog fight? Maybe "program" the classic interations, like, barrel roll, and turn around, in a press of a button..

Making a spread-out shot pattern was a good idea but physically making your guns far apart by making your whole ship wider kind of gave Yzuei the benefit of having a larger area to hit I think slightly changing the angle of the guns while keeping them closer to your body (I'm thinking of a drill-like-shape, with the guns going all around your ship) would've been better You'd have to worry about the effective range, of course, but I find that some "uncontrollable" spread is often good against really fast moving targets

Day 4 of asking for a 2v2 space battle burst you share planes. One could shoot the other pilots or maybe a rear gunner. I think this would be cool. Love your vids man.

Cruiser vs Fighters: 2v2 Two players fly two single seat fighters. Two players run a heavily armed cruiser. One flys, one shoots. (Maybe have some forward guns for the pilot to use.)

scrapman you should figure out how many shields does it take to have an invincible creation under constant fire so basically when the last shield is about to be broken the first one will have already regenerated

You guys should set up a propper RCS and then battle. If components of your RCS gets damaged you will have a hard time. With the quantum rudders space fights are essentially just fights in an atmosphere.

I would love to see a human vs aliens team battle where the aliens can use the space equipment/weapons and the humans can use the normal equipment/weapons and see who would win! The battle should be done on normal g's so that it is fair for the humans and makes for a better story as if the aliens have come to earth.

There is no way that Yuzei with that build has never played cosmotier in this life. This tactic is used in cosmotier to prevent EMPs from penetrating and damaging blocks. It also helps with a stupidly fast recharge time. This is why Yuzei had the vastly superior build here.

I have an idea to test, is it possible to stack shields so you can have an impenetrable barrier, and could you put a shield on a turret so of you are using then on tanks it will face where you aim the gun
