This show did nothing. Bauhaus was already the quintessential dark wave band. The term goth was invented because Bauhaus already existed and other bands in the 90s were coming out that weren't even faint copies. Wannabes invented goth. Bauhaus invented themselves.

Holy shit! I thought it was tongue in cheek when he wore a cape. But hanging upside down? What the early goths new which got lost somewhere in transalation is to be ridiculously dark and theatric, and to somehow keep a straight face whilst doing so. Even though, in private, they thought it was really fucking funny. I don't think I've seen a better example than this. GO PETE!

This. Him and Dave Vanian always new how to keep the funny in goth. It's why whenever I go dressed out on my goth nights, I look at myself in the mirror and say "I look cool AND ridiculous." It's part of the whole thing. Everyone wants to treat it doomy and gloomy but it's made for the hysterics and theatrics.

About 20 years ago I hung upside down on some yoga ropes for about 30 minutes. When I tried to stand up afterwards my legs gave out from underneath me, probably from lack of blood flow. I thought it was funny at the time, like I'd drunk too much tequila. I still hang for 10-15 minutes at a time. It does something to your nervous system that leaves you feeling very relaxed. No wonder Pete Murphy looks so chill hanging there. This song takes me back to my teen years in the UK, when it was released. Great memories of good times.

Omfg!! I am a person who was, as I always say now, too much of a close~minded metalhead in the 80s & didn't open my mind to other genres until Marilyn Manson got me more intrigued and interested in Bowie that I began my journey into new wave/goth/etc...& thru that & KZbin...& sometimes I hate saying that bcuz I hate technology lol well its a love/hate thing, but then I realize I actually HAVE heard more Bauhaus & Bowie & Depeche Mode & Duran Duran and Souxie & the FUCKN Banchees!!!??& I think I spelled that wrong but...they've all been in the background of the Playlist of my life but I've NEVER seen THIS particular performance & its freakin amazing and I am actually S0 fuckn glad I got to see/hear this brilliance✨️🦇✨️

Daniel is much more subdued in his clothing and hair than normal.. Goes with age.. :)... feeling the same. There are several iconic bands from "The good era" and BAUHAUS is in the tops.. Thanks for the memories and video..

Incredible! WOW! Brilliant performance on a tune I loved from when I was 9 years old. When I was 18 I was able to get a glow in the dark limited edition press release of this 12 inch I have proudly displayed in my office today. Many decades later
