I wish the camera would find the focal point, lol. Great stuff, Stephan.

Wow! Overwhelming lecture with lots to absorb. Thanks so much for this lesson. I'd love a video discussing just transitions.

I had to re-watch this and write down the 12 points. I plan on typing it up, printing it out small, trimming it to a size that's easy to carry like a business card size, and laminating it. It'll be a great refresher while I'm out plain air painting. Thanks, Stefan!

@Rollo Larson Salad landscapes... I have gotten better but a work in progress no doubt. Note to self: must practice drawing.

If I want to paint using all these concepts how would I start? Would I start doing a few paintings that focus on just one concept and then gradually build up to incorporating them all in following paintings? Would that give me the practice to paint using these concepts almost as second nature?

Stefan, If I paint most of my painting outside and put finishing touches on in my studio/ laundry room lol, is that cheating? Can I still call it Plein Air. I wanted to put my painting in an online Plein Air competition but the rules said it had to be completed in the field. So I couldn't enter it. I like to take pictures and finish at home.
@StefanBaumann7 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, almost every artist touches them up in the studio, the goal is to do it done on location but once the painting is home it is hard not to resist touching it up or in many cases F&%king them up! lol

Ironic he talks about focal point and goes out of focus
