I like this track. Some complex but since it’s short it can be learnt more quickly, and pull out that many strats in that short amount of time surely makes you feel good lol Also, about the stair strat in the last part, some people might be tempted to do a single UMT instead of a SMT>MT, but I realized that at least in my case, the high speed of the UMT makes it harder to align yourserf for landing on the stairs, and even if you land, you're likely to fall off because of the inestability, so the normal MT boost makes it easier

Challenge wise, it’s one of those tracks that’s it’s tough to get the hang of, but it’s very thrilling to pull off either on time trials or even online. Thanks for the ending ramp strats because that’s my only trouble spot.

No wonder I’m so bad at this track, I’m doing a lot of things wrong. Also I enjoy the round ghost, he deserves more appreciation

Thank you so much for the tutorial, I really liked your explanations of the strats. After having a go on my own I enjoyed the track so much I spent about 3 hours on it and finally got a 1:24:708 with Yoshi teddy. This is the first track I have ever beaten your PB, I'm so happy!

Thanks for the tutorial! I went from a 1:32.518 to 1:29.337! The latter is using a combo with lower speed and mini-turbo than the former.

I'm a 200cc extremely casual time trailer. Watching this video made Boo Lake 150cc look like a fun one to try, and then you say it's sorta like 200cc. So I'm sold, I might give this one a shot. Great video! This is also one of the only tracks I prefer on 150cc then 200cc. I feel it's a little too small with too sharp turns for 200cc to be fun, even though I like harder tracks.
@Leol_69 Жыл бұрын
On the first turn you can just take the turn as close as possible and mt trick. It's about the same as getting the smt. On the second turn you can just release the mt and go strait. With that I got 1:23.880, 1 second less than this run and it is wayyyyy easier

Fantastic video as always. Haven't been able to follow them lately cause of life/work... But I have a question, if my memory is right you had mentioned in older videos to avoid tricking off ramps as it can take away a few milliseconds. Does it hold true still? Or was it for specific ramps, such as blue ramps for flying? Thanks again for the fun and teachings!
@Bayesic Жыл бұрын
So that's a sort of different thing, and really only applies to 200cc. The basic story there is if you are already in the middle of a super mini turbo or ultra mini turbo boost when going off the ramp, you shouldn't trick cause the trick animation will eat the rest of your boost. Here it's more like purposely delaying the release of a mini turbo boost to propel diagonal movement after the glider comes out
@luxdalet Жыл бұрын
@@Bayesic Oh ok got it. Thank you for the explanation :D

Is Boo equally viable to Roy or is it better to use Roy and you’re using Boo for the video since their stats aren’t that different?
@MeesterTweester2 жыл бұрын
Roy is more viable, that's what "usual tryhard build" means. But the stats aren't that much different.
@ryanhlfc2 жыл бұрын
@@MeesterTweester I may use King Boo anyway while I learn the track due to all the hairpin turns
@Bayesic2 жыл бұрын
I’d say equally viable in the sense that like if you’re not a WR contender (like i am not haha) it probably makes little to no difference But yeah boo isn’t that different from Roy which is why I don’t feel bad using him. If it was a baby Mario themed track I’d be like no way
@ryanhlfc2 жыл бұрын
@@Bayesic plus the turns are pretty tight so the slight speed to handling trade off isn’t that big of a deal at all
@King_Teresa_MK8dx2 жыл бұрын
I don't think king boo differs a lot from Roy... I did time trials with both of them and have not experienced significant differences.
@thomassievert5469 Жыл бұрын
So in a lot of tracks there's a jump right before the finish line. Is there any meaningful time to be saved by doing that "new" trick that was discovered recently on the third lap? I mean the one where if you land from a jump directly into a drift, you gain a bit of speed for a short while.
@Bayesic Жыл бұрын
I forget but I don’t think so for this track? Problem is the trick ramp needs to be a very specific distance away from the finish line and I think this one is too close
@Jetliner2 жыл бұрын
Personally, I find the left side low trick to be much easier to get than the right side.
@Bayesic2 жыл бұрын

At 2:25 why SMT into MT, instead of simply charging a UMT?
@ryanhlfc2 жыл бұрын
2 boosts are greater than one, and your UMT won’t get cannibalised by tricking off the ramps after
@Bayesic2 жыл бұрын
Basically^ Avoids boost cannibalization is what I’d guess
