That final section of the track "haunts" me as I understand what needs to be done, but I either get too much air or clear the bump so the boost doesn't matter as much as it could. Do love this track more though after understanding the little bits of it now. May try to go lower than my 1:59.420.

At first I was confused why this track used a start shroom but it makes so much sense since the top portion of the track has a lot of coins.

Yeah there are a few courses like that, but most courses where you use a starting mushroom have a short cut that doesn’t really save that much time, like mumu meadows on 200cc This course is pretty unique in that the shortcut actually does save a ton of time, but it’s still more efficient to just grab coins instead

Ninja Hideaway is definitely one of the most difficult and punishing courses when you mess up, but it’s also one of the most fun to play when you master it. I always pick it whenever it shows up online, it’s definitely become one of my favorites in the whole game!

Thanks for the ninja training Bayseic-Sensei! This’ll help me out a lot even when implementing the motion glider spots because I find myself getting too much upwards trajectory on the glider portions. Glad you still stand by Ninja Hideaway being the best track from Wave 1! It’s my favorite too and it’s an intimidating, but satisfying track to play and practice!

I've been messing around with the "red carpet" ramp trick (right after the glider section) recently and I've noticed it's pretty consistent if you hit the trick button a bit earlier than you'd expect.

My PB is around a 2:03 with the Roy build. I just prefer him to DK and Waluigi. Planning to grind out a sub 2 minutes though so this vid really helps. Thanks!

Tysm for this vid Bayesic my time before this vid was a 1:59.5 now it’s a 1:58.4 but I’m still going for a 1:57 the motion glider helped a lot and the rooftop section

This track surely is intimidating when you first drive it. But when you get it, it's a hell f a lot of fun to drive on at 150cc and 200cc

I got a 2:00:700+ but it's a 9 coin run since I couldn't get the first coin at the first turn and cannot charge an SMT as a result. Also missed the MT trick on L1 before the glider. Surprised that minor stuff like this costs up to 3s over the course of the run. Hope to try and learn that strat :)

I think Ninja Hideaway's a little overrated but it's still an incredibly fun track. It's very jank but I kinda like that. If I were to make a MK8 track tier list it's probably the lowest S tier track, I do really like it. I haven't tried time trailing it in 150cc, but I did try 200cc but I couldn't nail that ending jump and quickly gave up on it. I do wanna give it another shot though.

I went into this track blind on 200cc. Yes, that's right. I, a complete loser was able to completely skip this guide for mario kart 8 deluxe Ninja Hideaway course on 200cc, and you can too with two easy steps! Subscribe to the guy talking in the video, and stay away from droogs
