@@Johansson1960 because LeBron proclaimed himself as the GOAT which is partly due to him being delusional. No way can a person proclaim themselves to be the GOAT, that declaration has to come from his peers in the same field. MJ has never proclaimed to be the GOAT and thankfully for his area of time that he played MJ peers proclaimed him as being the GOAT. MJ lets his dedication and work on the court speak for him.

@Christian Nieves "I'm not going to say today's basketball it's not fun..." I'll say it: it's not. It's too formulaic and predictable. It’s PAINFUL watching this wack ass era of the NBA. All of these guys literally play alike: constant calls for screens, in order to get iso’d onto a slow-footed Big, just to chuck up an incessant amount of 3ptrs. And what makes it even worse, these are the top scorers constantly doing this bullsh*t! It’s utter TRASH!

Oh brother! The 90’s had some of the worst teams in history. That was no gem of an era; the 80’s was. The only thing propping up the 90’s is MJ worship. One of the biggest floppers in the history of the NBA is Dennis Rodman and he did get calls. You have always had players who would bait others. What’s the big deal about a no charge zone? Cigarette Sponsors!!! influencing people to smoke and get lung lung cancer. Nothing good about that. Players adapt to the era they play in. The current crop would have been just fine in the 90’s. The irony is the league got “soft” to protect MJ. If you blew on the man it was a foul. Why can’t we just enjoy the game and not compare all the time. If anything these are this is the most talented set of players I have ever watched, across the board that is. The addition of so many great international players is also a great joy.

I saw a regular season NBA game between the Sixers and Lakers in 1982 that went to OT. Kareem had over 40 points. As I watched I realized why I barely watch the games now. The 80's and 90's were incredible. The 3 point shot has over time ruined the game. I think the court has to get bigger or they've got to eliminate the corner threes; something to end this 3 point contest that it's devolved into.

I remember watching this and knowing that as soon as McDaniel got in MJs face it was OVER for NY. That's what ths new generation will never appreciate because it was so surreal to watch: as soon as someone lit a fire under MJ he would absolutely dominate the entire game and get the WIN. It was something as an NBA fan that ive never seen another player do. Kobe was the closest. Lebron is laughably not the GOAT but for sure in my top 5 of all time.
@CS-np2oo
@CS-np2oo 4 жыл бұрын
Lebron isn't built like MJ. Kobe was closest you're right. Those Knicks, Pistons, and Pacers team. Just the league and presence of big men in the paint back then....Lebron as big as he is. ....guys would have got In his face an let him know in those days. Today ...he already big as Shaq and you can't touch him. Guys definitely not talking shit to him like those Knicks squads did to MJ.
@e24mpwr
@e24mpwr 4 жыл бұрын
@@CS-np2oo The point is Lebron only has moments when he can just make things happen and take the win. Jordan did it constantly, and other than the first run after he came back after baseball, he never failed the big moments. He just didn't. The the game was brutal back then. Lebron has had the advantage of a far less physical NBA, and he's still only looking up at Jordan.

Players are too highly paid. You have Duncan Robinson making more on his last deal than most of these guys made for their entire careers. Do you think they actually give a fuck if they win or lose? Does LeBron even look like he cares if he wins when he is taking at least a dozen defensive plays off in an elimination game? Players really only care about their stat sheet, and the way the game is handled facilitates stat padding to keep those players happy.
