Giannis may have gotten Griffin hired and fired, but unfortunately for the Bucks and coach Bud, Spoelstra made him look like such a$$ that someone was going to be scapegoated. Also, nothing wrong with applying pressure to the front office to win in general, that's not a heel move by itself. Giannis is a 🗑️ leader!!!! I saw his true essence: 1. Once he demanded his brother to be part of the team 2. Once ladder 🪜 gate happened 3. Once he was running around and threatened players and coaches to give him the game 🏀 4. Once he demanded for Kidd, Budenhozer, and the coach prior to Rivers to get fired 5. Once he traded Holiday for Dame and said the “rich get richer.” 6. Once he said that players aren’t loyal if they leave the team that they were drafted on, never mind the fact that most teams run ⭐️ players in to the ground 7. Giannis hasn’t added anything to his game, the past 5 seasons (ie. Shooting, free throws, post moves) 8. He’s made this bed and now lay in it, the Bucks FO has done ☑️ EVERYTHING for Giannis, no excuses
@jacobkadar4519Күн бұрын
1. Nepotism is all around the league today Giannis is far from the only example, not gonna defend nepotism but lets not act like Giannis is the only one guilty of it. 2. They saw Giannis shooting there and put a ladder up anyways. That was done intentionally to mess with him you can't convince me otherwise. 3. While I think he over reacted 100%, he scored 64 points and they were trying to make sure he cant have the game ball because some kid in his rookie season scored 2 pts. 4. Did he get Griffin and Kidd fired? Yeah, probably. But Budenholzer was literally the best thing to happen to Giannis, he didn't get him fired. That would be the front office being upset that they lost in the 1st round as contenders. They didn't care that the Bucks were all injured and Bud was dealing with a death in the family, it's still his fault. That's the nature of being a coach in the NBA sadly. 5. There's 0 evidence that they traded Jrue BECAUSE Giannis demanded them to do so, more so they traded Jrue in the fear that they need to get more scoring on that team OR Giannis will leave. Thats a completely different scenario. 6. I mean that's a fact, when he said that, it was during the time when super teams were the ways to win championships, in direct contrast to today where we see a lot of parody in the league because a distinct lack of said super teams. Even the current Celtics team aren't a traditional "super team". 7. Giannis hasn't added anything to his game except he's gotten better at what he does do very well. All his metrics have been going up. The Bucks may have been working to give Giannis a lot of pieces, but the past couple years they've had serious injury issues and this year a serious coaching issue. Do I think they should of fired Griffin? I don't know, I would imagine it's for a reason you and me know nothing about, because it clearly wasn't because of his performance. Saw a lot of articles about Griffin's attitude in the locker room not just towards players but specifically towards other staff members for the team.

Something that never made sense to me is why taller players are often bad shooters. When you're playing ball as a kid on a smaller hoop, it feels so much easier to make. Idk about 'spot on'.. he said last year before the season started that Dame wouldn't negatively influence the Bucks defense..... Aged like cottage cheese

I would add that giannis receives JUST AS MUCH contact if not more. Brown just shoves him and you barely gave it a passing mention. Shame on jb and jt for intentionally shoving and grappling. Cant just have in one way.

@@dre32pitt That's more of a coaching thing. For whatever reason, yall think Jrue Holiday was the ONLY reason the Bucks defense was good over the years lmao. Well, if you did your research, you'd know that their defense was ranked even better before Jrue got there. Coach Bud is just a better defensive (and overall) coach than Griffin & Rivers.

Bucks fans have been a captive audience for Giannis' fullback style of play for so long they've become convinced it's just normal basketball. And when you look at how dirty some teams like the Heat play defense, I've started to wonder if it isn't just a forced adaptation to how Giannis plays offense. The East is so annoying to play in because even though the competition is lower than the West, there's more of a injury risk to get through them because they're just not even trying to follow the rules.
@ZeroG2 күн бұрын
Doc Rivers is like a video game that never got any major updates after release but people still play it because it won GoTY years ago. Even though nowadays it's just a buggy mess notorious for crashing on the final boss.

Maybe Doc is The Process. Hiring him is a way of tanking without getting in trouble with the league administration. Giannis, Dame and Cooper Flag is a Big 3.
@hugobot202 күн бұрын
Sorry coach, but I gotta disagree that that's a "clear flagrant foul" on giannis at 1:55 . Yes tatum lands on his foot, but giannis's foot is well behind the 3 point line, not anywhere near to where jayson took off from. I get you have to give the shooter landing space, but how far does it go before you can't even contest a jump shot. His leg is not sticking out at all, much different to what we used to see with Zaza Pachulia, where his leg would be pushed out far from his body and under the defenders feet.

The Tatum sprain is concerning. That needs to be banned. The nets example is not Giannis being dirty. It’s rebounding.

To be fair to Doc, who has it harder than Doc, man? He's always put in a position to fail with bad teams or tough situations, if not both. It's simply not fair to expect him to succeed when he's always being set up to fail. Maybe next team that gives him a coaching job will have a winning roster and won't ask him to take over midseason before a brutal stretch.

That's the same shit that made me pretty much think Dwight Howard was a douche. Two things can be true - you might be a decent person and happen to like to joke around like Howard claimed, and when you do stupid things, it says a lot about parts of your character, or lack there of. Don't cry about people hating on you when you do things like that. Suck it up and start growing up, and show people you're improving as a human being.

The Bucks are awful and Dame never asked to be there. But he's getting all the blame. Giannis was the one pressuring the front office to make a move. The front office are the ones who gave up their defense for a star who they already knew was a defensive liability.

To be fair, Dame gives effort on D, it was the defensive sets that is the problem. His scoring efficiency were also affected with their offensive sets. Not a fan of Dam, but gotta feel bad for him being stuck to a team he didn't ask for. Imagine him under Spo with Bam and Butler, 2 defensive specialists that does good team movement and can take over.
