Yes I am it scares me a little I'm 28 when maugrim rises and it plays the music that freaked me out when I was younger the bit that scared me the most is when Maugrim arrives at the beavers dam and roars
@alexandramedina62904 жыл бұрын
i loved this movie, i grew up with it. even at 30 years old maugrim still gives me the creeps. regardless what anyone might think, i thought this rather low budget movie was made wonderfully, they even nailed the music to match the evilness. and i dont understand why ppl say the witch is overacting, i thought she did an incredible job at playing the witch, she was terrifying as well

I used to be terrified of the wolf when i was younger. Its weird how i can watch insidious and other scary films and not be scarred But when i look at this. It just creeps me out

I must say: This is really well made, and great acting. Even if you can see that there are people dressed like animals, I don't care!!! And the beavers are so cute!

Hahaha! The way the Witch says "How DAAAAAAARRRRRE.." at 6:28 has been a staple way to say "how dare" between me and my sisters ever since we watched this as little kids. We're all in our early 20s now and whenever one of us commits any kind of dis against the other, we still say "How DAAAAAAAARRRRRRE you..." LOL!

And I like how edmund’s conscious is constantly telling him this is a mistake but Edmund still persists on going on.

Thanks so much for the upload, this version is far better than the newer ones, this version stuck better almost word for word as if the screenwriter was writing with the book open, so many of the lines are directly from the book

Yeah similar feeling I had with the gmork although they were differences maugrim seems to have problems with anger management I mean the fucking roaring. With Gmork more murderous maybe there must have been something going with wolves in the 1980s.

Its so well done. The Music and the set design of the Witches castle is brilliant. Edmunds greed was so mighty it gave him balls of steel. I would have turned back just by seeing the place, once you get inside and you see the statues ect. thats me running away and getting the F back to the wardrobe., if its not their id be hiding in the bushes waiting for it to come back. I aint about a world where angry woman can turn men to stone.

I wouldn't say that. Gollum was basically in a sense bipolar having a split personality fighting with Gollum representing the evil side and Smeagol representing his old former self and his good side. Here Edmund seems to be having more of a moral conflict with his inner conscience.

"Why it's just an old stone wolf!^_^" No it isn't! It's a werewolf! P.S. I know Maugrim isn't a werewolf and isn't treated like one in this adaptation, but the fact that it shifts from a wolf-like dog into an actor in a wolf costume gives oof that feel. lol

Honestly, I dont mind this version of the Chronicles of Narnia, as a matter of fact I appreciate this version more if only because I feel it's a better portrayal of the book and it contains more details. The only complaint I have is the fact that Im a product of my era and the bad graphics (in comparison to the ones of today) are horrible and so bad (to what Im used to anyway) that I want to laugh and laugh and laugh....

@gogetyourverb I totally agree. I know some people think Barbara's performance was probably over the top but that's how I imagined Jadis to be especially from her portrayal in The Magicians Nephew to me she seemed very loud, dominating and pretty full of herself in a way especially as she felt she had the self importance to kill all of Charn. I think a move like that can only be done by someone who feels self important and likes to make a show of themselvesand Tilda didn't really do that for me
