Fascinating video. I really hope that kids will engage with projects like this and that, in years to come, we don't find discarded Microbits lying in drawers or buried at the bottom of school bags. I so envy the children of today getting this sort of opportunity.

+Richard Burton Same here! Albeit I had the luck of having a computer and a library bus that came stocked with books on programming languages. When I didn't have much of an internet connection I spent most of my time messing about with stuff like that. But to have been able to do that at school? That would've been interesting to say the least.

Hi Carrie Anne great one handed unboxing there 😜 Can you tell us whether or not the banana clips have a 'tight fit' when connected/inserted to the micro:bit ?? Do they rattle about ??
@GeekGurlDiaries8 жыл бұрын
They rattle a little bit not lots. You could use croc clips.

+FRR I went to school during the 70s and 80s. The computer courses were really random as to what we would get from year to year and school to school. One school had a learn at your own rate math course that was fully run by computers. The years before that the computer course had a section on programming. It was really basic stuff I knew from at home projects. The years right before high school I convinced the teachers to let me spend my free time in the computer room. Spent most my time programming pretty patterns on the screen. Guess I should have this all have a point for sharing. All the computer learning I got in school was rather random and unfocused. I got better computer learning at home doing projects I made up. I stopped doing any of that though and spent a few decades just playing video games on them. I really like that schools are able to expand their courses with all these foundations. I too feel I missed out on a lot for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't feel the ability to play and learn goes away with childhood and that effective learning can only be done in school. ((Just realized the entirety of this post is pointless. As I am arguing a side of a argument no one started. I should have just agreed with you and kept my hand off the keyboard for the rest.))

+Geek Gurl Diaries I find them fascinating is there any way I can get one? I am in year 7

If you are in the UK and at school then you should speak to your teacher. Otherwise I'd recommend investing in a Code Bug
