Michel is a great chef and a wonderful personality but he kind of contradicted himself here. On the one hand he says the customer is the ultimate arbitre, on the other he doesn't trust Tripadvisor reviews given by customers.

+thatabu No he didn't. Businesses can manipulate online reviews by either paying for positive ones for themselves or negative ones to their competitors. That's probably why he said to read between the lines. In other words, the reviews may not be from bona fide customers.

bbc have treated him disgracefully , the man is a legend i won't bother watching marcus , he's no michel
