Let's face it. London is now a City state with no connection with the rest of the country. We need a separate English parliament !

This is so sadly different from the London I grew up in. Neighbours knew each other, there was a sense of community. Children played freely in the streets. Divorce was there but unusual. Now London is a mess. People seem lost and disoriented. I'm glad I left decades ago.

It is a price the UK population was prepared to pay, seduced by the prospect of "becoming rich". It is to do with the "off shore" elite acquiring wealth beyond belief. A friend lived in an area "considered" deprived or poor even, yet a a house on his road was put up for sale £600,000. It was sold within a month! Most of the people rented in the area and could not afford to buy even if they acquired a decent salary! London is one large building site every patch of land being built on. Any person who falls through the crack is just looked over, left behind like everywhere else. A friend of mine used to live in Hong Kong and he said it was the same there! People just "think, breathe money", they are without souls. London is now a global city viewed as place to make money or die trying? How did the mass of the English working people buy into this nightmare in the 80s/90s?

Where i live I feel like part of the minority. Schools, businesses, shops, and streets swamped with foreigners that don't even speak English. Schools turning local children away simply because there is not enough space for them due to an influx of foreign children, a nursery school place is like gold dust. Foreign children being placed first before local children. The nursery 5 doors down from me refused my child and I had to appeal the decision which I eventually won but not without a fight. All these advice centres and grants given towards supporting immigrats. What about local people? Every bank machine has a Romanian standing at it begging, one guy brings a fold out seat and sits all day, he can't even talk one word of English. The place is a dump, it is having a knock on affect and the locals are at the bottom of the list for everything. It is not fair not one bit.

You see what happens when the government allows millions of immigrants who are unskilled,uneducated , cannot speak fluent English; and will gladly seek employment opportunities for a wage that is lower than what the legal British citizens will except. This type of immigration causes a “flood” of homeless immigrants many who will have problems seeking employment, and affordable housing. Many of them have that “British dream” of becoming a wealthy person through hard work but nothing positive materializes over the years spent working hard; and never finding affordable housing.

London is a dynamic, constantly changing city. Believing or acting like it's a static entity is foolish. The poor have always had it hard (whether it be in the times of Charles Dickens or the present day), but it was much harder in the 70s, 80s and 90s than it is today. There's plenty (millions) of educated, affluent migrants and minorities in London too.

InstrumentalsBeats....Wow you don't have a clue what you're talking about , do you have any sort of understanding about how far of you are with your thoughts??. London has been ruined from within by corrupt politicians turning a once great city into a multi cultural dangerous shit hole and a city that has literally turned against it's own people to create an even larger divide of rich and poor , and have pretty much successfully wiped out the middle class because their presence was an obstacle to the elite. London's 10 times worse than the 70's and so on , so i take it your perspective comes from an outsider looking in.

@bustarogers99905 жыл бұрын
Oh my lord , the amount of naive gullible people out there truly astounds me. It's so obvious it's embarrassing that the majority of people don't get that by bringing in all of these uneducated unskilled immigrants was always the plan to create chaos in the once powerful middle working class that was the back bone of the nation keeping all the greedy corrupt elite in order. And wow i don't even think the elite would have dreamed how easy it was going to be , when they purposely swamped the workforce with immigrants that were willing to work for half the price it immediately brought down wages and created a fight within the society they were trying to destroy and all of a sudden everybody was all about themselves and their own families taking their eyes of their true enemy the elite and it has been all down hill since then. It's time to wake up people and restore power to the people and arrest and jail all of the corrupt power players and politicians that have caused so much poverty and pain to so many innocent hard working people and families!.
