I love how he says that his favourite records feel like places you can go back to, for me all the records he created (be it AM or TLSP stuff, or the Submarine soundtrack) feel precisely like that and they have made up a very magical world for me over the years! I am so thankful ♥ *edit* : also can we appreciate him saying "so it seemed to make sense to me to name (the record) after a place and that was the only song title on there that was uhmm... related... suggested this idea, you know, eh..." I love this guy. The Arctic Monkeys have evolved SO MUCH during all these years, I wouldn't even recognize them if I only knew them from their early years. He’s talked so much about his family this time round. Visiting his grandfather and getting ideas for lyrics, his mum asking him on his birthday in 2017 what he planned to do next and a few other instances. He’s generally more talkative nowadays than he’s ever been and also more willing to explain himself and his thoughts behind his songs. Books he’s reading, shows and movies he’s been watching. It’s a little weird but I’m loving it

The new record is great!!..I've had it for the last few days and at first listen I wasn't sure because it sounded a lot like Alex's solo projects,which is fine but I expected to hear more of Matt's input,his drumming is always a great counterpoint to what's going on with the melodys and guitar. the tracks are growers though and I really like it..american sports,tranquillity base and 4 out of five are amazing tracks that seem to jump into you sub conscious after the fact..my favourite track has got to be tranquillity base!!
