These two remind me of 2 school friends that have grown up with each other for so long they just have that connection, we won't understand but they are connected on this giggle banter and inside joke train it's endearing to watch the chemistry. Romesh loves being awkward and he's aware of it but Rob loves to break through that barrier Rom puts on and it's nice seeing their more vulnerable sides which is just pure giggle fits lol.

omgisthatvik Shame it’s an exact rip off of Jerry Seinfeld’s show. Also the ‘coming out as a comedian’ is a Seinfeld joke. Ha this is a complete knock off. British comedy is weak and I’m from here.
@dailyelevation28136 жыл бұрын
You know what the word exact means? What car did Ramesh choose to personify Beckett? Which new exclusive coffee place did Ramesh take him to? This show is always at the same place, and they don't even try to pretend it's a real environment, I mean they even use extras and have them change seats throughout the show. So Seinfeld came up with the idea of doing interviews whilst drinking at a café? What a point.

i see the comedians in cars similarity, but as people have said it's a broad enough formula that I feel with good comedians and banter it works doesn't have to be the most original thing, just entertaining

He was joking but, the sad thing is, that is the way the BBC operate. It's only half about how good you are and the other half is who you are. If a white man and a black woman were equally good comedians, the black woman would have 10 times the chance of making it onto the BBC.

@@David-ud9ju That's true in legislation but not in reality. We have to make constant efforts to bring more diversity into our companies, genderwise and ethnicity-wise (not sure thats a real word though) to elevate peoples consciences and awarenesses, with the added benefit of making immigrants or women fit in way better into our society as active members with valid opinions and ideas. Doesn't mean it has no flaws either but it's still a better approach than let's say rebuilding the liberty statue as a white person instead of an afro american one to "better incarnate the population" with already a majority of afroamerican population and a minority of all white elite lmao

I get what Rob is saying. Having doing comedy as a professional ambition must be quite difficult if you come from a background where no-one does any kind of comedy or even knows anyone who does it or even of people who have comedy as a passion. Trying to do comedy for a living especially if don’t have a group pf other comedians around you is a huge risk and must take a lot of balls and you will fail many times in very embarrassing ways before you succeed, if you succeed. I think its partly so ”shameful” as an ambition because while comedy requires skills and talent, they’re not very tangible. Like if you try to become musician, and eventually fail, you’ve still probably very competent at playing an instrument or instruments and can continue playing for fun for the rest of your life, make new friends through playing etc. whereas a failed comic might actually be less funny than a ”normal” person.
