You could see that it was cut in a few places. It was most likely a much longer conversation cut down for brevity. I’ve heard a lot of interviews shown like this tend to be 2-4 hours which is a damned shame, we don’t get to see a fraction of it.

Only the English would say "I was sat there". That is not grammatically correct. Come on English people, pick up your game. It's your language. Respect it.
@eloisel2143
@eloisel2143 5 жыл бұрын
I was sat there does work. Pretty much everyone in England uses it, and just because Americans or Australians or any other culture that speaks English don’t doesn’t mean it’s not correct. Americans say things like “y’all out here doing this” which also doesn’t make sense. There are different variations of the language, and as time goes on, language changes
@hohaia01
@hohaia01 5 жыл бұрын
@@eloisel2143 many wrongs don't make a right. "Was sat" is a double past tense. Was sitting would be the correct wording.

@eloisel2143 5 жыл бұрын
hohaia rangi do you live in England? Because if not, I don’t know how you think you are qualified enough to correct them. My father is an English teacher, and I am studying it at Oxford, and we both agree that it’s correct. As I said, there are variations of language
@hohaia01
@hohaia01 5 жыл бұрын
@@eloisel2143 Would you agree that the sentence "I was ran to the bus" is incorrect? Because grammatically that is the same as "I was sat in the chair". "I was sitting in the chair" is acceptable, as is "I sat in the chair".

I'm from the future, and now, during our third lockdown, that toilet roll, with the bit of used snot-encrusted bogpaper stuffed in the top, would be treated like an IED and disposed of via a controlled detonation. So sorry your classmates were so bad. Kids at that age can be cruel and stigmatize you for nothing. Once, when I hadn't got my period yet, the teacher called me to do an exercise at the blackboard, and when I came back to my seat my classmates started telling me "omg you got your period, your trousers are all dirty!"... I was so embarassed I started feeling cramps and didn't dare to ask permission to go to the toilet. Later, when I finally managed to go to the toilet, I realized it was a prank. No period, my trousers were totally clean. Anyway, period or not period, I was a laughing stock. What happened to you is many girls' nightmare. A big hug.

Yes, There is evidence that female voice characteristics change across the menstrual cycle. A study reported that women speak with higher fundamental frequency (F0) in the high-fertility compared to the low-fertility phase. Women speak with a higher and more variable fundamental frequency just prior to ovulation.
