What a fantastic range of tone's! Love the wiring configuration. That distorted sound on the bc rich is so distinctive. Do you remember a band called slave raider in the early 90's. They were all bc rich. Take care buddy nice guitar!

The lighting makes it look like dragons blood red but it's a beauty! I have an '86 USA Mockingbird that needs some serious TLC Got it second hand, there's cracking on both sides of a brass nut. I don't get why it is cracking, it got FAR less use, I always went for my '87 Warlock - that got the most play and it's in perfect condition.

Cool, been looking at getting one, but need to test one first really, I made a bad choice on an sg before, the neck feels like it's in the wrong place and the small body puts it off balance, but I figured I'd get used to it, how does it feel in comparison to say a Stratocaster, that's what I learned on but I need more frets and a less creaky tremelo

Do you still have it? I still have the red model and got it around the same time of this video. I've since slapped some Dimarzio's in it and still play it to this day.

Yes theres a ton of tone options on these things, I know there where a few bands that played Riches over the years. Thin Lizzy "do anything you want to" video there all sporting Riches. I always remember the picture of Joe Perry playing a Bich. Thanks Bro...

I'm considering buying this guitar, but I'm afraid I can't set a low action, since the neck-thru design usually is very limited on this. So, how high is the scale relatively to the body, at the neck joint level?

I'm not sure where u got that info from.. The action is super low on this and my Bich double neck.

Action is set by the nut and the bridge, you set relief with the truss rod/neck.

I'm pretty sure you got the red model, not purple. I could be wrong but i have seen the purple model and it's different then that. Any way, amazing review on this guitar. Best I have seen yet! I would love to have one of these guitars one day.

I have this one... I'm satisfied with good looks, nice structure, complex control, but... but... why Duncan designed pickups? It can get better reputation without the pickups I think.

Yes it looks red in the video and in pictures but it is purple, it is darker then the one on the website.

Yes the cut is large and makes easy access to the higher frets...

Whats the difference between this and the STQ? and why is the ST much more expensive?

STQ is a hardtail and the ST has a Floyd Rose...

Daniel Gregory You unlock at the nut, then tune normally and then lock the nut and use the fine tuners.

It means transparent so you have the colour and you can see the wood grain also. Yes it looks red in the vid but it's more purple in person.

Trans purple version is limited edition. Thet's trans red version. Google "b.c.rich mockingbird st trans purple, and you'll see what a REAL trans purple mockingbird looks! I bet you bought that from ebay etc. The seller of that guitar just told you it's trans purple, so he'd get more money... :P

Cool axe. I've never seen those style tuners in black ... I really like the look. Fret board looks really wide. Does that guitar give a good crotch massage, it seems to be the perfect angle! No but seriously are you going back to being the drummer ...

Ok, somebody is definitely color blind! THAT IS THE RED VERSION! I have seen the purple version and you do not have it. And, if you think your Mockingbird is purple, then you definitely have a case of color blindness. Everything else in that video is quite obviously all the correct color; the shirt is white, the jeans are blue, the skin is the correct color, the head stock and fret board, the drums are amber, the cymbals are the correct colors. And, very plainly; your guitar is red!
