He is the bass and original founder of an acapella group called Voiceplay. All I can say is, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

You like western music - Geoff has done “Big Bad John”, “16 Tons”, “Big Iron”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Daddy Sang Bass”. Everything he has done is amazing.
@hwyla441620 күн бұрын
Just FYI - "Daddy Sang Bass" will not be found on Geoff's channel. It's on VoicePlay's KZbin channel. That's the acapella group he sings with. They are also pretty amazing. They really love to try various genres, but I think they are especially good at acapella versions of rock songs. I hope that interests you as well. VoicePlayas (their fans) have dubbed them the 'Theater Kids of Acapella' as they kind of like to do more than just straight sing the songs. As you can see a bit from Geoff on this one.

Before the pandemic shut the world down, Voiceplay toured extensively. In fact, they were on one of the cruise ships that was not allowed to dock for a couple of weeks after the hysteria set in. They had to stop touring, concentrated on their studio work and Geoff started singing on his solo channel. There are basses who can go lower than him and some that can go higher. Doesn't make any difference to us, it is the quality of the sound Geoff can produce as a bass, baritone or tenor that is astounding. Go ahead and start with Big Iron, he wrote additional music and lyrics for that one. Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay!

Welcome to the Geoff rabbit hole. Geoff has a 5 octave vocal range from below 90% of basses up to higher than 90% of tenors. And, it's not about his range, exactly, it's how good he is at using it and his arrangements. As noted by others, he is the bass singer for the acappella group VoicePlay and they are a rabbit hole all their own.

Welcome to the Geoff Castellucci (and maybe hopefully VoicePlay?) rabbit hole! Geoff's solo catalog is a fun showcase of his 5-octave range, as well as his arranging ability, and if you would like to see even more of what he can do I HIGHLY recommend checking out the acapella group he's part of, VoicePlay. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything they've done, so I recommend you scroll through their catalog and find a song that stands out to you to start with. I'm subscribing in anticipation of seeing more Geoff and maybe some VoicePlay too!

Every voice you hear in a Geoff Castellucci video will be Geoff - he multi-tracks his voice so he can cover all of the parts needed. He also provides all of the instrumental backing, either with his piano or with plugins for his keyboard. And he arranges all of his songs. If you check out the description of a Geoff video, you'll see that he also creates, directs, films, and does an initial audio mix as well. The final audio mix is done by Ed Boyer, who is a genius at mixing a cappella groups - he does Pentatonix, Home Free, and VoicePlay, which is the a cappella group that Geoff helped found and sings bass for. Anything of Geoff's (or VoicePlay's) that you stop on will be amazing! Hope you enjoy going down both rabbit holes!

Welcome to the Geoff Castellucci rabbit hole 🐰. This is one of his many videos. Another country video he did besides those mentioned is "Unshaken". He brought back the 4 ghost riders (clones) from this one and sing the song as if they passed away yet. Each of his clones have their own name, personality and vocal range..... Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Daryl. In this video left to right.... Jeff- tenor. Daryl - baritone. Geoff - everything. Goff - tenor. Jeoph - bass. 3 of the names started out as a dis for the misspelling and mispronouncing his name in "Way Down" two years ago. They became permanent. In this one he. Needed a 4th name. He liked the name Daryl. Not only do the fans love the names but they also help Geoff decide which one will sing which parts. Especially when he dresses up in costumes. He does have a bunch of other fantastic videos besides county. The man is extremely talented. Geoff and the acapella group he sings bass for are independent. Doing everything themselves from concept to KZbin. Except intricate makeup, cameras and audio mixing. Production, editing, arrangements, costumes design, etc etc. Geoff does not do acapella on his channel. He used Native Instruments plugin for instruments and sound effects. He once said "if I want acapella I have Voiceplay."

You're going to have so much fun exploring Geoff's music. Everything he produces is of such high quality, and he does it all himself- his arrangement, he creates the backing music, his vocals- he even handles video production and editing, and often his video crew consists only of himself and his wife, Kathy. Between his musical genius and a five-octave vocal range, the man is a true delight to listen to.

Love Geoff Castellucci & VoicePlay! In his solo videos, Geoff often clones himself 4 times, many with different costumes, hair, & beards. He sings all the harmony parts. The clones all have their own names too lol Voiceplay are known as the theatre acapella group. Their sets & costumes are as amazing as their vocal arrangements. Great reaction!❤

Thanks for your reaction! You have struck gold finding Geoff Castellucci. As others have said in the comments, he is founder and bass singer for acapella group, Voice Play, but has his own solo channel as well (he has a 5 octave voice range so all the vocal background harmonies and singing were him). He is completely independent from record label or contract by choice and does all of his own arrangements for his solo work and half of the arrangements for Voice Play. He is actually close friends with Tim Foust and members of Home Free since they were on the 'Sing Off' in 2013 and toured together after the show ended. He has helped Home free with a couple of their arrangements and production. I am a new subscriber looking forward to more reactions from solo Geoff and Voice Play.😀

Geoff, bass singer for the great A Cappella group VoicePlay....lot of good A Cappella groups but IMO they are the best, creating some of the best videos there are out there, commonly called the "Theatre Kids" for their outrageously creative videos... Geoff has his own channel of great creations as well. Cheers, thanks BD.

Wonderful, a new reactor to Geoff (or VoicePlay) is always welcome. Geoff does all of the vocals and instrumentation on his solo channel and his wife is his production manager who sometimes treats us to a cameo in his videos, or VoicePlay's. Subscribing in hopes of more Geoff (and VoicePlay). Geoff solo and VoicePlay are fun and excellent and delightful! His/their fans will be here for you! VoicePlay is under consideration for 2025 Grammys for two of their songs, "The Way You Make Me Feel" (in two categories; Geoff's arrangement) and "Hellfire" (beatboxer Layne's arrangement). Grammy nominations will be announced tomorrow. So hoping that VoicePlay gets the recognition that they deserve for their excellence. They currently have four permanent members so fill the fifth position with a handful of regularly featured guests who fit the song. Layne and Geoff are the two founding members who remain in the group (since 1997). They should be dropping their next monthly release soon. If you want to hear extreme lows from Geoff, check out VoicePlay's "Valhalla Calling," which is Layne's arrangement as Geoff doesn't do that to himself; at least, not yet. Geoff has some shorts on his channel where he is singing live into his iPhone. He records at home and then films his videos at various locations, most often at Pattycake Studios (co-owned by VoicePlay member, Layne Stein, and former member, Tony Wakim). This one was filmed by Geoff and Kathy at Pattycake with the help of a makeup artist. VoicePlay tenor, Eli, did the lighting for him. Geoff edits his own videos...a man of many talents. Check out the video descriptions of Geoff and VoicePlay's videos to see how very, very much they do for themselves. It's impressive!

Yes, he has a ton of them. And speaking of, his cover of Tenneee Ernie Ford's 16 tons is truly amazing. You have stumbled into yet another rabbit condo. He has about a 5 octave range from subharmonics to falsetto. This was a classic Halloween tune, but hold off on the rest, because you may need some next October, like Monster Mash, The Headless Horseman, and Jack's Lament. Besides, his Cristmas catalogue is also really good.

The range his voice has is nothing short of amazing. And a lot of the old country western songs like Big Iron and Sixteen Tons were practically made for him to cover. But with his voice range he can pull off most any song. His cover of Take Me Home Country Roads is every bit as good as the original John Denver, maybe even better.

I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? Comments under the video: "What perfection, it's out of this world, not even to explain how extraordinary her voice is." "It is definitely the most beautiful voice in the world❤" 1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with rich polyphonic overtones); 2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice; 3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre; 4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song; 5) a vocal range of 4 octaves; 6) a large army of fans around the world; 7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you; 8) more than 21 thousand reactions (all collected in my playlists). The incredible fate of a girl found with a broken collarbone at a bus stop and ended up in an orphanage.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Geoff Castellucci. He is amazing and has a 5-octave range. He is the bass singer for VoicePlay, an acapella group. I have subscribed to see more Geoff reactions and hopefully VoicePlay reactions. I would recommend you check out: "Unshaken" it has the ghost from Ghost Rider's in the Sky before they were ghost. He also has an amazing cover of: "16-Tons", "You Don't Mess Around With Jim", "Folsom Prison Blues", "Take Me Home Country Roads", "Shannondoah", "Ain't No Sunshine", and he has done a LOTR/Hobit trilogy consisting of "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold", "I See Fire" and "Song of Durin". He has a large library to choose from, so no matter what you choose you won't be disappointed. For VoicePlay, I would recommend: "Hoist The Colors", "Drunken Sailor", "Valhalla Calling", "Nothing Else Matters", "Dream On", "In The Air Tonight". VoicePlay are known as the theater kids of acapella and you will understand why after watching a few of their videos. Enjoy the rabbit hole...

Geoff, as well as all the members of his Acapella band Voiceplay, are musical geniuses. Geoff sings the lead and all the harmonies on his videos. He also writes all his arrangements, and some of the arrangements for Voiceplay (the beatboxer Layne Stein writes most of the others). I noticed you've reacted to "Elvira" by Home Free and the Oakridge Boys. Geoff even wrote that arrangement for them! Geoff and Tim are friends.
@hwyla441620 күн бұрын
Geoff actually arranged "Elvira" for VoicePlay, they sang it when they were touring as part of their show. (You can find a live version of it if you Google it. Not the best sound as it is on someone's phone.) But Home Free liked it so much when they heard them do it that they asked to use his arrangement. At the end of Home Free's video you can hear Tim thank Geoff for it.
@toddhadley900220 күн бұрын
@@hwyla4416 I didn't realize that he had originally arranged it for VoicePlay. Thanks for the correction. As much as I would have loved to see an Elvira video by Voiceplay, Home Free's version is still great.
@hwyla441618 күн бұрын
@@toddhadley9002 Try to google for the live video of VoicePlay "Elvira". I think there are a few. They are rather poor quality as they are audience recordings on phones, but it is neat. Not just for seeing the changes Home Free then made to make it more 'them', but also to see VoicePlay's more humorous take on it.
