I agree. Using the Elytra really disconnects you from your world, I like to stay glued to the ground and build long expansive roads and interact with the world rather than just fly over it. I’m hoping Mojang will one day buff rideable mobs and give Mules a full chest of inventory, and Horses a small 9 slot inventory. It makes no sense to limit them so much while the Elytra and Shulkers are so enormously overpowered. @@aa9945

I think what really showcases the usefulness of scaffolding is the reusability, you can climb the same tower multiple times, while a dirt tower you have to tear down and rebuild it every time. So the scaffolding challenge would be much more effective if you had to go up and down twice!

Scaffolding is just the best. It goes up instantly, comes down instantly, its super easy to navigate despite not being immediately intuitive. The only thing it’s missing is a way to crouch on it, but even that can be worked around once you know its quirks.

You gotta love the contrast between Etho and Bdubs playstyles. Etho likes to plan and make everything efficient, and ironically spends too much time focusing on efficiency, while Bdubs just grinds and improvises and wastes a lot of time using an inefficient but aesthetic system but still somehow gets more done than Etho.

Just gona throw this out there since you built so far from everyone else. You could use the mail system to create an order and delivery system for your shop. People send you their written order in the mail and you send them their order back through the mail. Since you can use shulkers and bundles it would be super easy and you would be the only one offering delivery. You might even be able to make it fully automated so when an order comes in it is auto processed and then auto shipped back to them.

And send out a map/catalog with all the items and prices, then you can adjust what's available or prices if needed

@dunkerdoodle well that's partially a cultural thing, maybe. Here in eastern Europe, 20th is the vernal equinox, yes, but when talking about spring, it's like from 1st March, we greet each other like "with 1st day of spring!" I get the Joels point, tho, but yeah, it really doesn't feel like Winter

That design you showed for the bamboo farm with all the Observers... I agree. But I figured out you could have a single Observer per row, and if you put Sugarcane and Bamboo together, you will soon be rolling in both. But I like your little mini-design - I may give that a try. I wonder if you could rig it with a Composter? Good episode Bdubs! Love the "Divorce Papers" and unknown phone bit. You might have a future in writing commercials!
