With self hatred, a person would need to recognise and understand what the underlying causes are and what the triggers are. Often, self loathing stems from childhood, caused by, and instilled by, an adult or many adults or siblings etc... It manifests, then becomes a pattern of behaviour into adulthood. Sometimes, the only way to overcome it, is by seeking help and realizing that destructive behaviour such as drugs, alcohol or other addictive and negative behaviours only blur the symptoms temporarily or even make them worse. The root(s), cause(s) need to be brought out from the shadows into the light as it makes it easier then to work with and reprogram yourself and make the changes to move forward. Love the quote by Ali on your vest ♥️

Instead of chanting, I said several of my favorite bible verses out loud. I am not comfortable with chanting about something that I don't know what it means. I have so much self hatred and harm that I have to get out of me. I love the breath work. It felt great. I am going to be doing this for every day for several weeks and I am so praying that it helps.

Peace and prosperity to everyone reading this :) Remember that in every moment you are manifesting the reality around you based on the frequency (emotion) you are vibrating on. You have the power over your reality, you just need to believe that you do, if you don’t believe that you have the power over your reality, guess what... you’re right! Life is your painting and it’s your choice whether you want to be a Picasso, or someone who doesn’t even know that they have a paintbrush. Keep going, keep believing, keep being you. Love :)

“Don’t beat yourself up about it!” Excellent advice- we need to learn to be gentler on ourselves. Don’t let the idea that someone else’s opinion of who you are, defines you. Insecurity is human nature but it’s allowing others to have power over you.

Hardest thing to find in my life is the Balance between self Love & loathing. Nearly 30 years ago, I was beating myself up about something, when I had an auditory experience with my Lord. I was already at work and focusing in on the individual task at hand, and quite out of the Blue, came His Voice, heard clearly and unexpectedly inside my head, saying with a gentle, loving admonition, " If you could've done this by yourself, I wouldn't have had to die..💛" Some folks might not find this to be comforting, but for where my heart Resonates spiritually, it wasn't just the Perfect thing to say, but said so Lovingly that I wasn't even embarrassed to be reminded of how utterly my faith is based within the Example of His Cross. I just hate failing my own Standards, I think.. because my inadequacy really doesn't shock the Creator of our Universe. My willingness to be transformed into Grace is far more astonishing.. and it's Accounted by the Holy Spirit as righteousness. How utterly AmaZing. Blessings, dear brother. Your wit and sincerity are perfect tonics for the seeking heart. Many thanks 🙏

but 1+1 is 3D (stereo dept) so to know that you know is already next level. You dont have to go like i know that i know that i know that i know etc: its like the vanitydesk's folding mirror: the image that reflects the other mirrors reflection of the mirror image: goes on infinately. What you could do to go next level is: seeing in others that they know that you know that they know: so next level is others as a mirror: and to make that consious. getting resonance. (But often people do that automatically but some need to learn via consious effort or some did it as a baby but forgot as an adult so you can regain that capability. )

Mr. Brand, i am a recovering addict. Drugs and alcohol. I am 26 years old and been struggling to get clean since i was 16 years old. I was always self medicating. I find your approach so much more appealing. I have been to more treatment centers and programs than i would like to say, and the only time it really stuck with me was when i got into the meditation and trying to reach my spiritual peace. And i just cant. But i see you so happy now and so at peace. I see myself falling back into getting hooked on medications i really dont NEED to be taking but when i dont i get so depressed i cant even get out of bed. I would really love to atleast just hear from you about where i should start. Just like in AA, i want what you have. Please Mr. Russell, atleast help me with a starting point. I am so lost in this thing we call “life”. Thank you , Carl Webb III

Our consciousness is the sky, the thoughts are the clouds that pass by....self-animosity thoughts included....."New Earth" by Eckart Tolle is a great help with getting some distance from the thought narrative, ie the running story in our heads...the idea being that thought is NOT who we are....we are the observer behind the thoughts....Thanks for this exercise Russell!

If you’ve come to know that you hate yourself then you must come to the realization that your are completely wrong to do this. You have no control over the cards you’ve been dealt it’s not your fault or business. It’s your mission just to play the hand as best you can. It’s illogical to hate yourself, you are you not your situation. All you need is to fully realize this truth.

Thank you. You are raising our vibrations. You're even facilitating us to begin our journey towards self awareness. I appreciate you and I love you. What you are doing takes an incredible amount of personal power. I am very impressed by how much light you are able to emit. I don't mean to be a douche and I am sure you are already aware, but, I still feel compelled to tell you to make sure you are taking time for yourself to recharge and reconnect. As artists our inclination is to drain the cup as soon as we fill it and we often run on massive deficits. This is fine for making art most of the time. But, you are doing something much bigger here. It's like Art on steroids energy wise. Please be sure to care for yourself as much or more than you are patiently and lovingly caring for us. Please forgive me for my forwardness. I shouldn't presume anything and I don't mean to imply that you aren't already aware of this. Sometimes I need to be reminded and I was moved to remind you. Also, please take note that I am a self aggrandizing asshole that often puts his nose into places where it doesn't belong. All that being said, I am grateful and in awe of your bravery and I send you love and light and I'm gonna stop writing now before I really get hippy on you. Much love from the woods here in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
