I met Heavy D backstage at the Richmond Coliseum along with my grandma back in the day. He was the nicest guy who was like that cool big brother or cool cousin who you could always hang out with. I miss him but he's up there with my grandma. R.I.P. bruh.

This is my 2nd time commenting on this documentary. It always brings back those good memories living in Mt.Vernon New York. Heavy D wasn't like any other superstar he was down on Earth and represented the town so well.l I truly miss growing up in the town an playing baseball at brush park ,basketball games all around the town and playing football at Memorial Field with the Knight riding the horse. Whoever did this well-thought-out documentary thank you from the bottom of my heart because as a 51 year old man you understand that time is precious and the memories made last a lifetime.

Like a distant family member actually I had a cousin named Anthony and he always reminded me and my family of hev or visa versa we used to always say when hev started dancing look at Anthony and he had curly hair like hev but grey eyes but he succumbed to a sickness as a young man not even thirty five it's like when hev reached the pinacle of his career my cousin passed away and I was hurt cuz I didn't know so I guess through hev my cousin lived on in my mind fondly. He was one of the most underrated rappers and they never speak his name in the conversation he stayed relevant changed up his style for longevity and it paid off he kept coming with albums gold and platinum and still is not in the conversation he wasn't hardcore but wasn't totally commercial either he had a brand that sold and how many groups keep going once they lose a member to death but they did even though Troy was a dancer but he honored his homie well with peaceful journey. Nothing but love was a masterpiece so was big time even the first album held weight and he dropped right at the beginning of the golden age with the likes of rakim slick Rick ll cool j krs one and daddy Kane when you had to be nice no Jay z nas Eminem biggie snoop all these dudes have to take their hats off to the legend and you feel like you knew him personally appearing on hit sitcoms and in movies he was a regular on living single even a different world so the world knew who Dwight Meyers AKA Heavy D mister overweight lover was. RIP and you are surely missed
