In this short video from a live Q&A with my private group of men who are growing stronger everyday in every way, we talk about the power of assertiveness. Let me know what you think.
P.S. If you're interested in becoming a KING in your life (in fitness, business and with women) and want to join a group of like-minded men who are growing stronger everyday in every way in this degenerate age...
DM me with the word 'KING' on Instagram ( / elliotthulse ) - me and my team will get back to you with the details to see if you qualify.
Done.

Assertiveness is one of the non-negotiable pillars of healthy self-esteem. We live in society, not Disneyland and must be aware of the laws of human nature. Ff you don't stand up for yourself nobody else will, and your self-image plummets. It's yours sole responsibility. Thanks Elliot!

Mr nice guys become the welcome mats of life resenting the feet that brush the dirt off on them...it's time we quit allowing the waiter to bring us a well done steak when we order a medium rare. No more passivity, no more aggressive douche, we find the golden mean of assertiveness, be calm be composed and say what you feel!! Stay sharp men

Yes that is obvious way to phrase it. I think it helps to prepare yourself for bad situations sometimes we just don't know how to respond to such situations it takes experience but once you go through it than it becomes natural.

This was perfect for me right now Elliot. I’ve been needing to talk to my girlfriend about how she has been treating me while she’s away on a trip for her agency. And this is absolutely how I have to handle this and express myself without being a victim but also asserting and being respected. Thank you

I'd be careful g. Even when my girl has to go out of town she always calls me and is worried about me and even sometimes throws out that I don't want u talking to other girls thing. If ur girl is the opposite she might have a work husband or something.

Elliott, great video. I have a somewhat opposing question for you though. Doesn´t it seem suffocating and non-human to suppress your feelings and take a somewhat “closer to the middle” stance? I see the need but… keep reading. I agree that balance should be the baseline; the in-between go-to approach. But depending upon the situation one might need to get angry. One might need to speak out very clearly (with emotions). One might need to keep someone in check. OR one might need to be silent, listen, be “run-over” because of the other person’s behavior (dark place). Shouldn´t a king, specifically, be the one who lives the most i.e. laughs the loudest, yet feels the greatest burden. Is the most forgiving, yet the most merciless. Someone who is able to feel and draw power (and communicative power) from those feelings. The loudest, and the most silent. Not to be confused with a coward or a tyrant that is mainly stationed in one area of the spectrum, sometimes flipping to the other extreme. But someone who has access and mastery over the entire spectrum, to best accommodate for the situation at hand?

Damn, this is a hard balance. I'm viewed as a demon when I'm aggressive, especially in sparring or with people I've lost patience with, but then I'm too quiet or not as aggressive people try to walk all over me.

Learn to say no. That’s something my successful uncle taught me. Didn’t really understand it until my 30s. Also thou shall lift weights (elliots dad rule) . I think once your fortunate enough to realize life is what you make it. We’re all just trying to figure out are mind body spirit connections. But if you can become assertive with GOD, your woman of choice/ family , and your business and livelihood then then rest will be easy. If you don’t become assertive with your mind and body spirit first then you can’t really be assertive in many other aspects of your life. This is why I watch Alex Jones. I don’t know if it’s bullshit most of the time but the conviction and assertiveness in Alex’s voice really changes my state in a good way. It kind of brings the best out of me and i become more productive knowing that shit can go down at anytime and want to be prepared for whatever’s coming in the next few decades. Rickson Gracie talks about this when he says always stay fight ready because you never know when your gonna have to rumble.

I don’t agree with this at all, don’t approach people looking for problems with you, there’s a creep in my gym that keeps trying to brag with me and I can tell you approaching people that want problems is a terrible ideas, specially if you haven’t done anything to them, they don’t want to talk, they don’t even have a good reason for not liking you,be careful with this advice in 2021 it can get you in more trouble.

Anytime I try and be more assertive. I just bruise someone's ego who's in a position of power and they hold a grudge against you for the rest of your life or prevent you from getting promoted because you're not a suck up brown noser. This isn't good advice.
