Absolutely killed it! Amazing! Quick questions for ya... Any particular reason for swapping out the die cast hoop for a triple flanged on the snare? More open sound perhaps?
@user-hg3lz8kw2e Жыл бұрын
He said on instagram that the die-casts made him go through too many sticks when practicing for that tour, so I guess it was less about sound than simply a cost saving measure. And either way, his Masterworks snare does sound amazing!

This is the first time I've actually heard that lead guitar in the chorus, it's sick! the mixing on that album was not it
@EricVellekoop Жыл бұрын
Agree. I think they (at least consult, preferably) work again with Johan Henriksson, Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd. They did Lost Forever, Lost Together and AOGHAU and those albums sound like metalcore production benchmarks to me.
@Rabidshore Жыл бұрын
@@EricVellekoop while i love those albums, and think those people have made fantastic albums. I dont think thats what would've made the big difference. i'm pretty sure Nolly mixed the last 3 albums, and he has done absolutly fantastic albums these past few years. I just think this is how architects wanted it to sound.
@Fanrose2475 Жыл бұрын
@@danielarchundiapicazzo9645 I think it's deliberate. If you listen to the live mix of Deep Fake you can hear a vocal/synth building up before the hook that's not present on the album mix. This is more of an atmospheric thing for love concerts, even Sam doesn't do growls in albums as he wants to do them love for show biz It sounds cheap, but imagine hearing a whole new mix of the song live vs a copy paste of the studio mix. Only reason why I want to see architects and enter shikari live
@TunnelJumper Жыл бұрын
@@EricVellekoop I will listen to anything produced by those guys. They have a way of making the drum kit sound fucking pummelling like in a live setting.
@str1897 Жыл бұрын
@@Rabidshorenolly mixed only the first of those 3 (holy hell), the mixing of the last two is done by Zakk Cervini. He does a fantastic but this lead guitar is for sure not clear enough on the album. It sounds incredible and we can't even hear it
