If you are feeling vulnerable or desperate with tinnitus, please pace yourself and put calming, soothing, therapeutic support mechanisms in place first. Once you feel more robust you can then maybe start things such as fasting or cold showers. Take things gently, follow your gut instincts and common sense and please do not do too much. Try things out and then stay with what helps you. Everyone is different. We all have different needs. The underlying mechanism is when you feel safe, calm and on top of things, it is normal for your nervous system to downregulate the alarm bells. Be wary of grasping onto too many different things and feeling you need to do them or else..... You will get better if you aim for feeling safe inside yourself. Safe contact, safe people, safe practices leaving you feeling well inside.
