So true. It's become a cliche saying, but it's true... Brian was/is a pure musical genius. People hail Spector, but I think Brian was a bit superior, though influenced by Phil. Brian's creativity was something amazing.
@usafvet100
@usafvet100 5 жыл бұрын
@@chrisPAT03 People like Lennon/McCartney, B Wilson, and Richard Carpenter were blessed with an ear which could conceive of heavenly sounds and know how to gather the vocals and instruments to make it happen. In the case of Wilson and Carpenter, they could take a song that already existed (Sloop John B, Close to You, We've Only Just Begun) and work their special magic.

@Huawei is a criminal organization. I definitely agree. Of course Brian is known for his amazing falsetto, and he was the driving force and brains behind The Beach Boys, but his Bros, Mike and Al were absolutely essential to the band's success.

I really believe there is something special about ‘family groups’. Since they are all related their voices just blend perfectly to create the most beautiful harmonies. They all have some the best harmonies I’ve ever heard; The Beach Boys (Wilson brothers), The Bee Gees, and the Everly Brothers.

I’ve played music with my brother (who is 11 years older than me) before and I can tell you from experience that the family dynamic means a lot. Me and my brother come up with the same ideas at the same time, even while improvising. I bet if Brian, Dennis and Carl weren’t brothers but just friends the Beach Boys would never have happened

The record companies need to do this for all BB stuff up to Holland. Apply the Stack o' Tracks formula to everything from '65 onwards, or even earlier (or even later). The Beach Boys may be the only band that this is a valid thing for - and who are you gonna compare them to? Only the fabs.

I love the Beach Boys so much. My daddy turned me on to them as a little kid. They were just about my dad's favorite music group. They harmonized so beautifully. True artists. Thanks KarmicOmen for posting this! =)

Great video. One of my all time favorite bands. The awesome thing is that the whole band could sing incredibly well. Something you oddly see in a rock band. Heck..even sidemen on vocals like Al and Carl were doggone gifted..

When you've got it, you've got it and the Wilson boys had it! Their harmonies and style far surpassed the sounds of The Four Freshmen, one of their early influences. Thanks so much for sharing this video!

I can listen to this a million times and NEVER get bored, just AMAZING. This proves God exists. At least there must be something out there because this harmonies and melodies are from a higher level filtered by such a great human being like Brian Wilson is.

The human voice as an instrument so unique in each individual blended together like orchestral instruments, with that studio echo, truly amazing that touches your soul!

Usually, I make the comment that someone has too much time on their hands when they do something like this. This, on the other hand is beautiful. I enjoy most types of music, but the beach boys were my first favorite group & they are still one of my favorites. I have and always will enjoy their harmonizing. Thank you, young lady for sharing this with everyone and reminding me of the joyful memories of my youth. May the good Lord bless you!

OMG, I love these a capella breakdowns. I can listen with supreme joy to these versions every day, for the rest of my life ... a great many experts have declared this song in its holistic final version, to be thebest, most 'prefect' rock music song ever .. hard to disagree ...

Musical genius coupled with meaningful relationship & life messages - does it get any better than that?. Thank you Brian Wilson & Mike Love and all past Beach Boys. I saw Mike Love and the current Beach Boys at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA in Sept. 2018 deliver a truly stunning performance. The spirit lives on in the new & very talented members. Spirited, fresh, & and continuing to 'fine tune' the Beach Boy vibe to this day. Truly 'All Americans' that elicit joy from all.

You got that right. A cappella singing is the ultimate test of a singer/group's true talent. And the Beach Boys longevity is testiment enough of their talent. Music that will never go out of style!
