We serve soulful music reactions on a regular basis. We love to create LIVE, insightful, deep & honest reactions.
We are two counselors, teachers & stay-at-home parents who enjoy listening to music for the first time.
We take the time to give a good review of music that we listen to. We seek to understand a song's meaning.
We often venture deep into the heart of a song to share a honest, sincere & educated assessment on it.
We want you to have a great experience while watching our videos. And have a good time on our channel.
Our 'post-reaction analysis' is based on our educational background, life experiences, rich culture & passion for music.

Pure innocence. Brian: just a master. Most composers couldn’t have written the bridge, let alone the whole piece. Thank you for this.

Thanks so much for this reaction. As an American, it makes me very proud to be from the same country as Brian Wilson. He’s one of our greatest musical treasures. Fascinating fact: he’s been deaf in one ear since early childhood. Imagine all those amazing productions and harmonies, and he’ll never hear his own work in stereo.

This is the opening track of the 1966 Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" album, consider by many to be the greatest pop album of all time. This was the last album released with Brian Wilson fully in control as composer, arranger, producer. Unfortunately Brian encountered many personal issues going forward, but the good news is that over the past couple decades Brian was able to get out in front of audiences again and has been so warmly embraced by music lovers and fans.

Big props to the Wrecking Crew. The studio musicians who performed on most Beach Boys albums. Hal Blaine ( the drummer) was the GOAT.

This music in this song wasn't recorded by The Beach Boys themselves. It was done by a group of incredible musicians called The Wrecking Crew. The Wrecking Crew worked in Los Angeles as session musicians from the late 50's onwards. They worked with most of the biggest music acts in the world including Elvis, Sinatra, The Beach Boys, The Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkel, Mammas and Pappas, The Byrds and Phil Spector to name but a few. Denny Tedesco made a documentary about this group of sensational performers. If you want your socks blown off watch that. It's called The Wrecking Crew.

The first time I saw a real band perform, it was The Beach Boys in 1985. I know every word to every song of theirs! Anytime you need some summer in your winter, spin some Beach Boys!

This was from Pet Sounds that was inspired by The Beatles Rubber Soul. He wanted them to change their image in terms of being more than just a Surfing Group. Paul McCartney said Pet Sounds inspired Sargeant Pepper. It was also featured on The US Series The Wonder Years.

This was from Pet Sounds which was The First Album that they did that they didn't Sing about Surfing. The Album itself was inspired when Brian heard Rubber Soul by The Beatles. This was also The Album that later inspired Sergeant Pepper. The Beach Boys influenced so many other legends. The Beatles, (Most Notably Paul McCartney who was born just Two Days "Before" Brian Wilson on June 18th 1942. Others who were influenced were Elton John, The Bee Gees, Michael Tretow who produced Abba's Hits, and David Lee Roth of Van Halen who has been one of their biggest fans.
