This song sounds like it comes straight from Bloom and I'm living for it. ⭐ Once Twice Melody is such a gorgeous mix and progression of all their previous albums and styles. So versatile, so nostalgic yet so fresh. Already the album of the year in my eyes. They simply refuse to fall off. Masterpiece.

True Story: I was probably 3 racinettes deep and half asleep as I heard the gracefully voiced Victoria run chills up my spine with her harmonious aura once I opened both my eyes to capture such a wild lugia on screen! Once I was completely conscious i realized not too many singers have a range of voices as such and even her guitarist Alex’s chord progression is spot on with the melodic tempo of the piano (synthesizer). As many other fans out there, they’ve grown on me and have become not only my favourite band, but favourite people. So down to earth, simple and genuine. Oh ya, and that’s how I came across beach house. Can’t stand Steven cobert

They take you to a new galaxy. They have been doing so for me since 2005 during one of those bad days where I stumbled across the track on the East River and ran and ran that rough day of life away. On the way back to the subway, my iPod accidentally loaded them, I stayed on the F train until Coney Island when I needed to get off at Essex Street; I forgot I was in NYC. No alcohol or no drugs needed - they were it.

Saw Beach House for the first time a couple months ago in Kansas City. It was the first show since COVID that the crowd seemed to really come together to see the show. Not looking at each other because we have forgotten how to be in crowds. AMAZING show. They are so talented. If you get the chance to see them live, GO!!!

Saw them play a tiny bookstore in Chapel Hill, NC. They (Alex & Victoria) were touring their first album. Just a keyboard with a drum machine programmed in and Alex on guitar. About 12-15 people showed up. I talked to Alex about the good review from Pitchfork and (this is how long ago this was) Alex and I chatted about MySpace. 😀 Victoria was having a conversation with a few others. I regret not hanging out longer to say hi to her. Both were really nice and very approachable. Saw them two years later, again in Chapel Hill at Local 506. You could tell that they were catching on. Over a hundred people showed up. Alex and Victoria snuck right by me, both wearing black hoodies tightly pulled over their heads. I proposed to my wife on this night and once again kicked myself for not trying to weave it into the show. Totally selfish...but...how memorable if Alex and Victoria could have played a role. Just for fun. Anyway. That's my Beach House story. Great band. Cool people.
