So, my girlfriend has been so intrigued with epoxy resin art such as all the beach creations. Her birthday is coming up and I think getting her everything she needs to get started would be the perfect gift! Can anybody please help me out and fill me in on all the essentials and necessities I would need for her to start out? And where I can purchase locally or online? Swear she would love and appreciate something like this, so I would really appreciate any help and advice! Thank you for this video !

I’m working with a much smaller piece, a Z-scale diorama of a family beach trip as a keepsake for my daughter. I’ve watched this video about 10 times because you are so thorough and I absolutely LOVE your work. The only issue I’m having is timing. Since my piece is so much smaller, the cure times are cut by at least half and I’m not exactly sure when to add the white waves so that I have thick enough resin to hold it and not envelope it, and also be able to blend with the other colors. Any help would be most appreciated! Signed, a HUGE fan!

Thank you as this will be my first attempt at beach art. You've explained things so in depth. I love the idea of natural sand and white sand too. Looks so natural. The waves were something I was really interested in as I made a triangle and failed. I now know ita because I used a white tint not a paste. I tried to make a dolphin jump out of the water. Silly me. I have subscribed as I'm completely new to Resin 💗

Hello Michelle! =) I want to kindly ask you question. I'v trying to reproduce this art and my acrylic paint does not completely dissolve in resin. I see a lot of micro colour particles, but they do not merge into a single/solid color. Doesn`t matter how much time mix them 5-10-20min 😞 What could be the reason? Paints chosen expensive and popular between the artists. Thank you!
@MichelleTraceyArt
@MichelleTraceyArt Жыл бұрын
You are correct. Acrylic paint isn’t compatible with resin. You need pigments made for resin. Just buy a few colours and mix your own. Eg Blue and yellow make green. All the best! ✨🌷✨

If is truly necessary? Many other videos like yours not described it. For me it would be easier :) Thank you in advance for your answer.

This was great to watch. Also because you’re Australian and it’s easy to figure out if the materials you use are easy to find. I have bought resins and have only used them once but seeing your tutorial has inspired me to have another go. Thankyou. On average how much does it cost to create something like this and how long does it take. Do you use wood panels or have you used canvas
@MichelleTraceyArt

Awesome, thank you! Art Resin has an online calculator that will calculate how much resin is required per piece. I use that as a guide and then add a bit more. Apologies I am unsure how much I used for this piece? Canvas can only be used up to 12 inches due to the weight of resin. Wood panels are best. All the best!
