Checking in the other direction is A VERY OPTIMAL WAY to find Agates. When the water level is up on my creeks, I make it a rule to check both sides. I have found many agates that way. The term for the last find is Sunbleached, but that particular agate is a Paint Agate.

Agreed! I definitely see a lot of agates I miss by doing this.
