A five hour hunt today yielded 5 rings. A ring an hour, not too bad! I started this hunt heading south of my usual hunting grounds finding 2 possible fresh drops in a swimming area. After clearing out the area, I headed north to my honey hole which was sanded in. On the forth hour I finally found a nice patch in a tidal cut which produced 3 more rings and pendants. Hope you all enjoy this hunt :)

There are no detectors that detect gemstones. Metal detectors detect metal. You probably need some type of sluice or screen system to find gems. Try googling it.

I don't do it because in Connecticut any personal items like jewelry you have to turn in to authorities. I'm not spending money and time to find things just to return them. If there's identification with an object than that's one thing but a ring or watch should be finders keepers. You obviously don't have the same laws in your state.

though I had some problem with sea water It also kzbin.infoUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

I almost bet that the ring that looked like a class ring with the emerald/green stone is probably a us military Army ring from the post exchange-P/X. I HAD ONE WHEN I bought it after my advanced individual training then 10 years later I was awarded the real gold and emerald ring for recruiting excellence just before my morel award presented for top top honors in recruiting and it was awarded by CSM Morrel of whom the award is named after. Good luck mate

A very enjoyable hunt with some nice finds, I always enjoy watching your adventures on the beach. I'm sure like many of your subscribers I would love to detect that beach, but distance and health makes that dream virtually impossible. But I'm so pleased that you have found such a target rich location with no competition, what a huge potential for many more great finds. Good Luck on your future hunts, fingers crossed for some awesome finds.
@BeachPirate
@BeachPirate 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Bob, yes it is nice to have a target rich beach with little competition. But I think what makes this place special is the fact there are no coins in circulation. As you know clad can burn up a lot of time and energy. I am sure there are some amazing places all around the world with no competition. In Asia this hobby is almost unheard of. I am not sure about South America.. but I think it is mostly a western hobby. See you on the next hunt :)

A totally enjoyable video beach hunt. Always a rush to find one of those big rings, and once you get used to it the disappointment is minimal. Don’t be grossed out by the ear ring, they probably also have rear rings out there..... I don’t want to talk about it! 🥴 I was very happy to see some Zombies arrive on scene, finally. They really add to your videos. Their curiosity shows you to be an adventurer from a far away land with his strange contraption. 😗 From what I could see that bullet shell could be 9.62 NATO used in M-14’s and M60 machine guns. As you say it should have green corrosion on it after 50 years. Along the New England coast here in the US we still find ammo from WWII. Big 50 Cal. shells still loaded. Very green indeed.

Hi Jack, I don't know much about firearms but one of the guys below mentioned it could be a 303 cartridge. When I did a google image search it looked like a match. LOL I think 50% of my subs come here to see me get annoyed by Zombies. There were a few more encounters but I was digging trash at the time...kind of makes for boring video. Maybe I should feature them anyway 👍

Hello, I'm a long time KZbinr, Land Treasure Hunter. I tried water detecting for the first time today. I had a really hard time. I have all the gear I need. A nice scoop like yours, an AT PRO, a Garrett Carrot, nice dive boots. I could not for the life of me get my targets in my scoop. I could not see a thing after I stirred up the bottom. I tried reaching in with my pinpointer and pull targets out with my hand. That failed too and I practically floated away. ( I could get a weight belt. )I think I had a ring but it just kept getting deeper till I lost the signal. PLEASE if anyone has any tips or advice to help me. PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Happy Hunting, keep digging!

Hi Mudswat, detecting in the surf is the most difficult form of hunting. It takes a long time for me to recover targets which I edit out in the videos. Trying to snorkel and recover targets are a surf beach is futile, you gotta use the scoop. In the beginning try to stay waist deep at the most until you become more confident recovering targets. Then you can go out chest shoulder deep but I would also recommend a weight belt. Best of luck! 👍

I bet that class ring is still 10k. I've had them fade really light like that before. May be worth testing

I did the gravity test in water, unfortunately it wasn't real gold.

@@BeachPirate I just found your channel last night and its hard to do beach videos without getting boring. Hard to film, bad film, finds filmed after the dig. This is very good stuff.

Great video again mate. Nice class ring. Maybe gold plated silver ? HH. Jason.

Not sure Jason, I doubt there is any silver in it because it registered very low. Kind of like a small gold ladies ring. Good luck on your next hunt :)

I've been to Danang a few years ago. Rented a surf board and had a go. That bullet Casing looks American. 7.62 X 51 so it is likely from the war. Did you see any stamping at the end?

Hi Bert, I didn't see any stamping from memory. Hope you had a fun time in Danang 👍

Did you throw it out? Please say no, and please take a look... there's a good chance that it's from the war.
