I love the idea of running the wiring back through the bead before crimping on clam shells. Great idea. TY

I have adopted your method of looping the wire back through the crimp and crimping it. I find it works better than wire guardians and no scratchy edges when using the clamshell covers.

@@teresahemmings4713 that is my absolute favorite way to finish a piece! 💕 And that’s exactly why- no pokey wire bits to irritate my skin.

Some of my clients seem to prefer the Wire Guardians. For many it's new and interesting. Last weekend a client said it looked 'classy'. I wear bifocals and rarely inspect small details that are barely visible - I simply purchase the colors, styles and designs that appeal to me. But if everyone thought it was 'classy' I would utilize Wire Guardians more often and possibly charge a Classy Price - whatever that might be. I appreciate the different series Lauren offers. I consider myself to be interested in new techniques and tools. Sometimes it's amazing to experience that lightbulb moment. Of course sometimes I am made aware of techniques I will never implement. Both are valuable lessons. Being an informed consumer is important and smart. As always, thank you Lauren!

I always thought that you needed to match numbers. Now I know what my problem is, a number 2 tube needs a number 3 cover. Who know? Definitely not me. 😂😂😂😂 I'm loving the jasper nails Lauren! Pure Perfection!! 😊

@@hollylowery26 ahhh thank you!! Yes, it would be so much easier if everything was just numbered to coordinate, not just to indicate its size. Alas! I’m glad this info was helpful! 💕

I use something called a magical crimper that bends a 2mm crimp tube into a little bead with a wire guardian. That turns out beautiful. It rounds the edges and turns it into about a 1.5mm size little round bead.
@beadboxbargains3 ай бұрын
@@teresaacuna8282 I have one and I don’t know if it’s defective or the crimp beads that came with it aren’t long enough- it just doesn’t seem to work. I’ve followed all the tutorials and had others try it too. It just only works on one end of the crimp, even when it’s in the exact middle of the tool. And they give out really easily, even when using the crimps and wire that came with the pliers. I should send mine back and ask for a new one! I have not been impressed with it at all.

@@JewelrywithJen I wish I liked it! Maybe I got a defective one. The reviews on Amazon indicate I’m probably not the only one. Glad to hear you love it too! I personally like a clamshell bead tip because it hides the wire end too. :)

Thank you. I use all of these methods depending on what I am making. I love the stop-it crimps but not on everything. I have been trying to change all of my findings to stainless steel, even bead caps and spacers. I don't mind paying the extra price since I know my pieces won't tarnish. Would you be able in the future to accommodate that need? The nails were my favorite ever.

I have not worked with crimp beads and tubes a lot now. With this instruction, I want to try them. I have been intimidated by them. I am worried they will tarnish intimidated and make the piece look bad 😊
@beadboxbargains3 ай бұрын
@@debbieodell8007 if you’re ever worried about tarnish, I recommend using stainless steel findings. 💕 They are super resistant to tarnish, and you don’t have to clean them with a polishing cloth like you do Sterling silver. They last so well!

Thanks for the film, why does my wire loose the shape when I make finishes? It"s not streight anymore at the ends, it is 0,5 mm.
@beadboxbargains3 ай бұрын
@@agnieszkajezyk-chlebowska9274 what kind of end findings are you using? I would recommend being careful to hold the wire as straight as possible when you crimp- it could be getting twisted, which might be causing the shape difference you’re seeing.

@@beadboxbargains I use the same endings as you, maybe I hold the wire with too much pressure.

When would you usually use a tube bead?
@beadboxbargains3 ай бұрын
@@debbieodell8007 great question! Tube crimps function much the same as the round ones. They have a little bit extra hold since they’re longer, so I like to use them for heavier pieces or if for some reason I need to put two strands of wire through the same crimp for my design.
