Another great video, Nick. I am interested to see how electrical and plumbing works on this kind of technology. (I saw the electrical conduits on this video when they were applying zege) but very interested to know how plumbing for the bathrooms and toilets will be done. Inquiring from Bongo (Tanzania)

im impressed by your videos. you are doing a great job. by the way the blocks you are using are too thick and they increase the total weight of the building. there are better options for asmolen block shapes and wall thicknesses.

I like this Technology. I just think designers and contractors should work on making the resting Ends of these ribs rigid to resist earthquake. I still think casting the Main building beams to the height of the slab and leaving the beam top reinforcements is the best way to make these ribs rigid rather than placing them with a bearing of 90mm as shown in the cod of design. some contractors like to push these ribs to go past other perpendicular crossing beams. very dangerous since it induces high values of hogging moments at these supports. otherwise good stuff.

Quick question, are the beams , sound proof?

Because the dimensions are standard how do you fix the blocks where the space remaining is too extra that the block may all in or too small the block can't fit in?

Hi. The flat beam and block. What size steel must i use for the ring beam around and on the brick wall. 2nd Question , is it necessary to put a at least one or 2 steel reinforcement along the long side for support from sagging. My supplier suggested i do. My space is 6 meters by 3 meters.

What of a building with cantilever, how does the beam and work there? E.g a a three thousand meter squared house but have a one meter cantilever at the first floor, projecting out? How does the beam and block slab applied in such case????

hi, so the strength doesn't come from the blocks i see alot of buildings now using polystyrene blocks . can you make a video on polystyrene blocks and the savings on using that as well as advantages and disadvantages

In the 'beam and block' technology .... don't you think it will even be more cost effective instead of using the blocks, to use precast slabs that are one meter long, placed between the beams, which will result in using less beams, less blocks and less time??
@PropertyNoma11 ай бұрын
Precast slabs are heavy and can only be supported by steel I beams. The blocks are hollow and are more suitable for beam and block technology

You skipped over the most important thing. Price. I personally prefer the beam that's designed to look like a railway. This flat one is prone to cracks under weight....plus it demands a brc mesh which is very expensive
@PropertyNoma Жыл бұрын
Oh yes, the T beams. They're more expensive than flat prestressed beams but are stronger and don't need timber supports
@ahmedkiyimba5934 Жыл бұрын
Building is not cheap, and the different building styles dont change cost for the same structural strength so much because they are all about looks and different methods of work
