About the relish bottle: Unlike straight fluid type condiments like mustard or ketchup, relish is chunky. I hate idiots too! When I moved into my house, the railing to go upstairs was attached directly to the wall - literally just the wooden rail part, without the metal brackets that are typically used to attach a rail to a wall. Nope, no brackets. Just a long, round piece of wood literally mounted right against the wall with no space between the rail and the wall. It was pretty much useless as you couldn't wrap you hand around it to hold onto it. It was one of the first "home improvements" we did. I found it kind of ironic that the previous owner was the fire chief. You'd think a fire chief would know all about safety. How is a rail mounted directly onto a wall safe? You couldn't even use it! What if there was a fire & you had to run down the stairs? You'd probably die from falling down the stairs & breaking your neck rather than from the fire! The basement stairs were just as bad, maybe even worse. Those had NO railings & they were free floating - they didn't touch the floor. So the stairs would sway back & forth as you went down them. Swaying stairs with nothing to hold onto - really, fire chief? REALLY?
