@@terri6854 Yes, but to sing on key without a cue is something most singers can't do. He probably does have 'perfect pitch.' It's more common in children and tends to disappear by puberty. But pro singers sometimes know their voices well enough to use muscle memory to break out into song at the correct pitch. Even rehearsal doesn't explain it, most singers who do endless rehearsals still don't have perfect pitch and still need that starting cue. Have you ever heard a choir try singing without a reference tone first? YIKES!
