These are the bows that get people into the sport. Having a review from a reputable shop/channel such as yours is a big deal helping newbies out. Most new people arent familiar with the used market either so they will be looking at new bows, and probably not $1500+ new bows, but bows like this

Yes I’m a newbie and I bought one of these, I mean I’m new just trying to learn how to shoot I’ve shot it three times and trying to sight it in. Could use some help on this 3 pin Hotwire sight it in don’t know how to actually sight it in. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽

@juanrodriguez-mu7ko chase the arrow when dialing in a sight. On the hot wire sight, the 20yd pin screw is the closest to you while holding the bow. The 30yd screw is the furthest from you directly on top of the sight. Use the knob to adjust the 3rd/slider pin. I bought the adapt+ rth back in February of this year as well. As far as sight tapes, get your bows fps with a chronograph then got to precision cut archery.

I think it would be great to showcase "entry" level equipment on the channel. People get so caught up in the high dollar stuff it almost creates a barrier to entry into this sport. Showing people that you don't have to spend $1500 plus on a setup to try out archery can only help our sport. Thanks for doing what you do MFJJ, hopefully will see you at a TAC event next year and good luck with the rest of hunting season. Congrats on the antelope!

For me, it all started in 1992 at age 15 with a Bear Whitetail. Great review on this Bear bow. It's definitely a good entry bow that won't break the bank.

Would there be any chance, you could take the Bear Adapt tune it and take it out your 3D range. I think quite a lot people would like to see you, take round your range to see how it preforms...

I bought one as a back up bow....wound up using it last year more than expected. It performed well. Harvested 3 deer with it last season. I'm only shooting 55#, and it's giving me right at 270 FPS. I have an old school Mathews LOL), that was my go-to for years, so I can't compare it to that. But like you said, that price point, with a $180 sight, a quick disconnect and quiver, I think it's an excellent deal. Especially for someone just trying to get in to bow hunting, or even as an extra bow (we all know how hard it is to get in to a bow shop during the season if our bow goes down). The only thing I did to it, was replaced the whisker biscuit with a drop away rest (preference).

It's awesome see you review some entry-level equipment because not all of us can afford the more higher-end equipment. I have a Bear bow for about 2 years now and have had trouble finding a good shop to get it set up right but thanks to you channel and your I have been able to work a lot of my problems out myself. Keep up the awesome how to video!

I think having a video or two a year on these "entry" level bows is a solid idea for trying to get new people interested in the sport going. Its easy to find a thousand reviews on the high end bows, but there are so many entry ones its hard to find any useful reviews on them. Great job MFJJ!

I own a Bear Adapt and love it. Dropped plenty of Pigs here in Northern Australia. They're definitely no speed demon, but with shot placement and the broadheads i use, they are a great mid priced bow. I think that package as a RTH sells for just under $1000 AUD here. Great bow.

Love the adapt. Bought one as a project a couple months ago, not the plus, just the regular thp adapt. The gear that came on that one is pretty poor, the plus has better accessories. I put the hotwire sight on there (like the plus) which is a nice sight by the way with the dialable floater pin. Didn’t like the biscuit at all so I put a trinity hunter pro on it tonight. Shoots well. It’s noisier than a flagship and speed isn’t great but for what it is at the price point it’s a solid hunting bow. Also shooting a bowtech realm SS so I know what a good bow looks like and feels like. All in all, it’s a pretty fun project and fun to shoot. Great reviews and checking all the specs to keep the companies honest is awesome. Look forward to your reviews whenever I see them.

Love the new scoring system guys!. I literally wouldn't change nothin from it!... I am a HUGE Fred Bear fan!!! Love these newer bears especially in the legend series and the direction the company is trying to go in!! An I say heck yes bring on more budget friendly bows. Promote them as was fred bears intentions so many years ago the idea is still the same at Bear seems like. To have a bow available for litteraly almost EVERYONE to enjoy the sport for the better of it!!! Fred bear was an will always be "the bowfather" in my opinion, & im sure he would be happy with what they're puttin out an carrying on to this day, these bows are easier for begginers to buy an basically fall in love with the sport if set up correctly... I've had a love for shootin bows over 25 yrs an shootin a bear refine this year it will hang with anything out there, these entry level bears can dang near hang with flagships for half the price!!! Keep up the good work MFJJ Bring on tha new Bear Alaskan XT cause imo it will be the best "budget" bow of all time 🐐🐻🎯🏹💯💯💯

100% you should do more in depth reviews on more budget friendly archery gear. Not just bows, but accessories too. The reality is that there are FAR more people out there that can spend $600 on gear than can spend $2000. Better yet, you should take a more budget friendly bow, dress it with budget friendly accessories (not the bottom of the barrel, but mid-grade) and then you should shoot that bow in TAC and other events, and hunt with it. My guess is your shooting would be very close to what you do with a high-end flagship with all of the expensive accessories. A Bear Alaskan for example. That would be a bow you could shoot amazingly well. And, doing such a project would not hurt the sales of your flagship stuff at all. People who can afford flagship will always buy it. The outcome might be increased sales of the mid-grade stuff such as Bear, etc. Thank you!

So a couple of weeks ago i am out shooting and my bow blows up on me. I just had knee surgery and money is well none existent rite now so im like great what do i do now. This was the only option i had if i were unable to get my bow fixed, its a 22 year old Hoyt Cybertec which i love! I got very lucky the shop called Hoyt but Hoyt said sorry we no longer have that part, then Hoyt called rite back to the shop and said wait we have 1 how many do you need. Thankfully i only needed the one so i was able to fix my bow. But if i were not able to fix it this is the only bow i would have been able to buy for this years hunt. So yes i think you should keep a few in stock for those moments when you need something that will work and you cant afford a RX7 ;)
