I totally agree with you on turning off the UVB! I’m in a beardie group where everyone insists on keeping all the lights on. 🙄 Love the video! Wish you released it a month ago when Corny came out of brumation! :P thanks for all useful info! (from the Detroit/Redford border) you’re making me a better lizard mom ❤

I turn that off soon as my baby get to running around scratching it lets me know he is sleepy and want the light off he does it everytime he sleepy n that light been on too long

My girl just woke up! I also will offer bugs out of brumation. I figure in nature they would wake up in the spring after the plants and insects woke up. That's what I see happen outside with herps. She also is a very good brumator and comes out of her hide when she is ready to be awake.

Our beardie always goes into brumation (well the last 2 years since we've only had him that long) in November here in Texas. I'm surprised that they would go into brumation in the summer while the days are still long and warm.

brill video , I hoping one of my beardies is ready to come out , she keeps popping her head out to look out , the thermostat you use was very interesting I never even thought to use one like that and is cheaper as well ! My Beardies beard is very black and her whole body seems like it’s that stressed black color. She just came out of Brumation last night. She has been fed (Dubias) she hasn’t been washed yet. Is this normal after brumation. This is her first one so I’m not sure what to expect.

@@Animal1GuyI’m thinking mine is younger then 7 months way younger actually and today he has went to sleep and hasn’t open his eyes or woken up no matter the pokes or touches the cat calling moving him nothing he still hangs on with his claws but his breathing is so shallow you’d think he wasn’t breathing , he went to the vet today because of the weirdness earlier days are one day and for 5 no eating unless I open his mouth and put it in.. Very active earlier drinking and looking even like the car ride .. but now it’s been sleep none stop for about 6 hours
