Monteros are awesome vehicles. I'm glad you're getting it back up and running. They are getting popular again and like your said, they are cool. Very capable offroad...even still by today's standard.

I saw one for the first time the other day and thought how cool. I initially mistakenly took it as a Samurai.

Yours is pretty sweet! I kinda dig the wheels on it. Came back to this after seeing your Weber swap vid. I really appreciate you for making it, I just bought myself one of these cars with the carb off and every line cut/ripped so I'm gonna do the carb swap. Good luck with the car man!

Nice truck ! These things were sold here in Europe as Mitsubishi Pajero and they were in short version (3 door) and long version (5 door wagon). In fact, as far as I can remember they were sold as Pick up truck as well; named; Mitsubishi L200. They were available in 4 door and 2 door Pick up configuration. Next to the Toyota Landcruiser, these were sold in great numbers, and so a lot of parts should be available, as Mitsubishi parts that is. But as it is a relabeled Mitsubishi in the first place, very few parts should be Dodge Raider specific to begin with. Did you know that with the truck you have, in Mitsubishi version, in the 80's these trucks were used in the world greatest Rally: Paris-Dakar. At least in 1987, but in other years as well I think. Look it up in google and surprise yourself. So yes, these things are very much off road capable, I mean if you do the Paris-Dakar rally race with these trucks, well that says enough I'd say ;-) You've managed to purchase yourself a Rally Truck ! Have fun with this Rally Truck!

I used to own one. Very capable, if low on power. I’d love to have one again.

the Mikuni set up is complicated - lots of hoses everywhere. at 25-30 years they have issues.
