Yes you ignorant fools, the back seat does have a release handle, just not as easy.
@DanielTabuencaКүн бұрын
Your problem is not the 15 amp socket.. it's just that the socket was a cheap inferior socket that won't handle the continuouss high-amp loads. You should get a heavy duty socket, and a 15 amp would work just fine. The breaker si not want controls the amperage, the amperage is controlled by the car through the mobile connector. As far as the car is concerned it will only max out at about 12 amps continuous. In order to charge at 20 amps you would need a different mobile connector pig-tail that has the sideways slot that then only fits on a 20 amp socket. The fact that the circuit is dedicated is irrelevant. It's actually better that it's dedicated, if it weren't dedicated you would have to ensure that nothing else is drawing power from another socket, thus making it exceed the rated amperage.

Being Trump is besties with Elon Musk, and a Gigafactory is in Texas, do you really think he’ll touch the EV industry? Think about it. Stop the fear-mongering! I don’t see Trump ending the EV Tax Credit. He’ll be a pro-choice President when it comes to gas, hybrid, EV, hydrogen, diesel, PHEV, Extended-range, etc. He wants to end the government’s mandated target date for zero-emissions of 2035. I’m a staunch Conservative who happens to be a tree hugger but believe people should have a choice. If anything he will add more government incentives for all domestic or domestically built manufacturers of any power source to strengthen his economy.

Just wondering…its there a reason you need to plug and unplug it for charging? Would it be better to just set it up as a dedicated connection? I would have not anticipated that problem either, but I would have avoided it by default because I had learned that higher voltage connections tend to get weaker from arcing which is why there are torque requirements when tightening connections. I’m glad you are okay. You might be saving a lot of people by sharing this experience.

In my 2002 Toyota pick up I put a bicycle tire tube in between the glass of my cab and bed topper, and pumped it up just enough to make a seal. I then point the centre console heaters through the two open windows. I'd then set my autostart into deep winter mode where it would automatically start the truck every 4 hours for 15 minutes, let the truck run for awhile before going to bed
@Roham4 күн бұрын
You have to inspect your exhaust system before you try something like that as a small leak under the bed could be fatal!

Maybe no one will see this but I fixed my Y by having the HEPA filter conversion kit installed in the frunk. Since the conversion last year I have not had any smell. I believe the reason is that the new instillation seems to revert water much better away from the air intake under the frunck panel.
@promogul4 күн бұрын
Wonder why all the smart engineers at tesla did not implement sliding rear window or direct vent ducting to bed? Must have been some design challenge or they had to rush the launch and couldn’t fit in the feature in time.

The "EV Mandate" is the EPA regulation for automakers to make higher and higher efficient vehicles. <- This should be abolished. We're $36 Trillion in debt, and the spending and subsidies need to stop. The spending is direct inflation. Eliminate the Income Tax, Payroll Tax, and place tariffs on imported goods.

The cabin’s not really airtight, so I’d think this would work to somewhat, but not to the degree he “demonstrated.” His temp readings seemed orchestrated to show a much bigger than actual temp drop.

The readings appeared skewed to show a much bigger temp drop IMO. The “before” readings were from the back wall. The “after” readings were from the floor. He momentarily dragged the sensor spot up on the back wall for a moment, and the temp briefly showed 90s. Could have all been accidental, or insignificant. Possibly. 🤨

My complaint still exists, you cannot stealth camp in the Cybertruck. I have stayed in parking garages probably 200 times in my Model 3 and nobody ever knows it. Additionally, I have taken my Model 3 down some paths to camp that would really have been better in a truck. I really wanted Cybertruck to be my roadtrip driver, but it just can't be until we get a midgate passthrough and I don't see that coming.

That’s cool but extremely inefficient. I use the EcoFlow Wave 2 on the Cybertruck outlets and pipe heat or cool directly into the tent without wasting heating up the cabin of the truck with no one in it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ3YlqekYqaohtksi=xD7RH1_ieoZH7W3b ^My setup can be seen briefly at 14:30 and 15:30
@miami38633 күн бұрын
Yea I looked into camp stream, I like the setup but questioned its effectiveness among some other things. I ended up getting the Wave 2 as well for my rooftop tent on my R1S. The Wave 2 is a very niche device, but if it works for your situation it’s perfect. If it doesn’t work, it’s an expensive and heavy paper weight lol. Another bonus over the Wave 2 vs Camp stream is that it’s portable, I can use it for many different applications. The camp stream only works with your Cybertruck or Tesla/rivian.

Hm but if you put the plastic piece in the window, the car is no longer really locked, is it? The window is open and someone can just pull the plastic out. Seems a bit unsafe. I also think for such an expensive car which clearly is made for having some camping module on the bed, this seems too handmade to me. I would expect Tesla to have a proper neat solution, really.
